How many of you are getting the Osmose?

I did an early bird preorder, too. I'm gonna wait for it as much as it takes.
Hell, might even get a Continuum in the meantime. LOL.

Do you think it will be a bit of a dick-move to ask form money back?
But such circumstances might not have been justifiable by the 'Terms and Conditions' of the pre-order (who read those anyways!?).
Let's think of it as an investment and forget its current "dive" waiting for the upward slope. Shame that it raises prises as demand is normal, but the manufacturing\supply is low. Software is not that much affected though (if at all). But hardware... current supply and prises are just discouraging.

Ah, yes!EvilDragon wrote: Sat May 28, 2022 11:41 pm I did an early bird preorder, too. I'm gonna wait for it as much as it takes.

And just place a padded keyboard from a synth... not compatible, I am sure, but just as a joking idea.
Have they even got Continuums on stock!? Those are quite expensive, so probably they order on demand, so the situation might be similar as Osmose currently.

I played it at Superbooth 2020 and decided against. Too much keyboard, no comparison to my LinnStrument…

I have a Continuum (1/2 size original) I'd be willing to sell. Just don't have enough space for it!EvilDragon wrote: Sat May 28, 2022 11:41 pm I did an early bird preorder, too. I'm gonna wait for it as much as it takes.

Yeah I'm toying with the idea of getting the new one, s70L6x. Go big or go bust!

Of course, then the painful realization that I can't play that bugger even if my life depended on it will hit me like a ton of bricks. Haha.

The Continuum is not easy to play. I don't have the finger strength for it and so for me it is not transparent.EvilDragon wrote: Thu Jun 09, 2022 2:47 pm Of course, then the painful realization that I can't play that bugger even if my life depended on it will hit me like a ton of bricks. Haha.![]()
I am much happier with the Linnstrument in terms of what I feel flowing out through the tool without it getting in the way.

I actually did play a half sized one at Superbooth 2019, and I didn't have problems with required finger strength (coming from grand piano schooling), but I'm concerned about playing chords with any semblance of precision.
I do also want to have a go with the LinnStrument. Each of these MPE controllers has pros and cons.

I don't know why but Osmose doesn't interest me in the slightest. I suppose I'm more into something that's a little more out there and the Osmose seems too "safe" as a product idea. OTOH, I'm really excited about the Erae Touch I bought yesterday. Hopefully I won't have to wait forever to get my hands on it. I'm hopeful it will be a real game changer for the way I perform on stage.

That Erae Touch looks like a big Roli Blocks…be interested to read what you think of it, quite expensive but looks like fun.

It does, doesn't it! That's kind of the appeal to me - a big-arse Lightpad Block that's way more customisable. I actually got it for less than the advertised price. For some reason, when I went to check out from Embodme's site, the price was 725 Euros, not the 850 they said where I added it to my cart. That's just over half the price of the new Seaboard Rise and well less than half the price of an Osmose. Yes, the Osmose has a synth built-in but I think you get a lot more controller with an Erae Touch. It's really quite the bargain when you look at everything it has to offer.

I got the early bird price for the Osmose which was just over 1000 Euros so something of a bargain with the synth engine...that said, I still don't have an Osmose and its not looking any closer with all the Shanghai shutdowns (apparently just shut down again)...I have the Sensel Morph for 'MPE' and I like it (they have stooped making them now!) but I could see how I could, have fun with the Erae Touch...especially as you can hit it with drum sticks and has the sensitivity to be a good percussion controller....from a quick look at other forums its biggest problem seems to be people are not getting the units they ordered, so in that respect at least it is similar to the Osmose!
Edit...Bugger, watched the YT videos, checked out the website, even downloaded the editor....I think I am getting one! Just emailed them to ask about buying without VAT for UK (as VAT is included) so I will see what they say- it is listed in a few shops like JUNO in the UK but no stock...)

I downloaded the latest Erae firmware and the 1.2 app and tried it out yesterday. Worked pretty well making my own layout. I'm still waiting for Embodme to make a Bitwig script cause I'm lazy to put something together myself.SLiC wrote: Fri Jun 10, 2022 9:51 am I got the early bird price for the Osmose which was just over 1000 Euros so something of a bargain with the synth engine...that said, I still don't have an Osmose and its not looking any closer with all the Shanghai shutdowns (apparently just shut down again)...I have the Sensel Morph for 'MPE' and I like it (they have stooped making them now!) but I could see how I could, have fun with the Erae Touch...especially as you can hit it with drum sticks and has the sensitivity to be a good percussion controller....from a quick look at other forums its biggest problem seems to be people are not getting the units they ordered, so in that respect at least it is similar to the Osmose!
