This is a fairly common problem and like most pc problems, if you're having it....you're not the first. I've experienced it myself before and fixed it fairly easily. Not this time. I've tried every trick in the book now baby. Tried reformatting, switching between MBR & GPT, connecting via SATA & USB, updated Intel RST, It's a Seagate so I tried bootable USB SeaTools, tried various pc's but no matter what I do this !@#$% 3TB HDD shows up as a healthy 746GB HDD. I'm about reading to start sniffing glue again.....LOL!!

Any ideas??

"Delete all your pron?"

I'm not even sure what "pron" means.

Partitions or no partitions it makes no difference. Even unformatted it shows up in Disk management and Partition Wizard as 746GB. I tried every damn format exFAT, MBR, GPT. And, since I get the same results on all my pc's I know it's the drive. I've tried everything. Even tried doing a deep wipe to DOD standards. At this point I'd be trying the same things over and expecting different results....I'm crazy, but I'm not batshit. I've wasted too much time on this already....time to toss it on fleabay for parts.

Formatting comes after partitioning, so it won't help.

How long do you own this drive? Got it new or second hand? Was it always like that?

My computer > manage (computer management) >Storage > Disk management
Look at your drive and see if disk is fully active.
You may have to extend partition if required and make it active.
Regards.
