I understand completely! I recently made the leap from 3rd gen Intel CPU tech (circa 2012) to 9th gen Intel. That made a significant difference with my virtual instrument performance! But you have to work with what you have on hand. Good luck!jeffn1 wrote: Sun May 29, 2022 10:01 pm Regarding the latency (sorry if off topic), I tried the same setting as in Gig Performer and it works far worse stand alone for as a Syntronik synth. I tried various settings and it actually performed somewhat better with the ASIO settings playing internally through my laptop speakers than through the Presonus interface (to an external amp).
The thing is, realistically, I am only planning to use this as a VST within Gig Performer, so I don't want to spend time troubleshooting. (But, if anyone had exactly the same issue, I figured I would post)
Thanks for the responses.

Yes, that's understandable.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote: Sun May 29, 2022 8:24 pm As far as the multis go, you'll get them, I've alerted the team and in the mean time since it is the weekend I'd suggest looking in the "Download Resources" section under Syntronik 2 in your IK User Area as that is where it is for Syntronik 2 MAX current users.
I can see the multis under "Download Resources" for Syntronik Deluxe (V1), but not seeing them for Syntronik 2 CS yet.
I assume all the new multis will be placed under Syntronik 2 CS "Download Resources" since most GB users would only have the CS version.

There has been talk here and other places about what the difference will be/is between what you get via this GB and if you purchased Syntronik MAX. Lets say like most in the GB you get the freebie, Syntronik 2 CS and all your Synths, if you look on the IK web site, it says in red type
CS and SE
"Hosts previously purchased synths"
Syntronik FULL and MAX it says
"Upgrades previously purchased synths"
So is getting all the GB and Syntronik CS/SE really the same as Syntronik MAX?

The multis have been added as a separate download under My Products on their website now.
You'll get a message when viewing your products that they have been added and when you refresh the list you will see a new product for them. So it's not located as a resource for Syntronik 2 CS.

It appears to me that Syntronik 1 has just the Sounds Downloads, but the individual instruments from the group buy have the Sounds Downloads plus an Instruments Updater from 2021-11-25 (when Syntronik 2 was released), located under Download Resources.jinotsuh wrote: Mon May 30, 2022 6:03 am There has been talk here and other places about what the difference will be/is between what you get via this GB and if you purchased Syntronik MAX. Thanks for the heads-up. I followed the steps and got the multis installed.DoktorTenma wrote: Mon May 30, 2022 9:31 am The multis have been added as a separate download under My Products on their website now.

It's about a 13 MB download, but unzips as > 600 MB. The level of compression, wow!
Thank you so much to IK for the generous Group Buy, yet again.

Just installed the multis ok. Load up one to try - "Chaos There" under Syntronik 2 and it loads some of the parts and then exits S2 altogether!
I also just found out that I have the same samples missing from my install that this guy found missing in his (he tells you how to find and add them):
So maybe missing samples has something to do with it and instead of getting an error message, it just crashes...
The very least you expect from an installer is to...install what it says it is doing. Starting to think if I'd paid full price I would be asking for my money back at the moment. Good vfm at 50 euros for all the sounds but its only the low price stopping me getting really annoyed with the difficulties in getting it all working.

It's always been an isse with S1 ST4 etc- so many massive samples getting uncompacted that there could easily be an errors, it took me months to get ST4 working reinstalling things...the problem is unless you try every pre-set you may not find a corrupted file, and if its after 180 days unless you have backed up the zip files you have to pay again to download.
It some point IK may invest in a better way of managing/updating there stuff, its several hundred gigs so can take some management/storage...but to be honest UVI is just as bad, they update/fix one sample and you have top download an 8 Gig file!

That's what has happened here. Missing samples causes several DAWs to crash. But then I've gotten several crashes when just trying to load a Multi that does not have any missing samples so....Flip64 wrote: Mon May 30, 2022 11:08 am So maybe missing samples has something to do with it and instead of getting an error message, it just crashes...
If IK had just set one single sample folder like Public Documents/IK Multimedia/Samples instead of putting things in Sampletank 3, Sampletank 4, Syntronik 1, Syntronik 2, Imported Samples, etc etc etc folders things would have gone a lot smoother over the years.
I have to have duplicate samples in two locations just so ST 3 and 4 can both find them.
I think a lot of the issues we've seen reported in this thread could have been mitigated with a less sloppy installation scheme over the years.

The more I mess with Syntronik's synths the more I realize that I'm a bigger digital/wavetable synth fan than an analog one. A lot more than I realized...
Also, yeah... I tried some of the multis and they caused my DAW to crash when attempting to load, so I'm likely just going to stay away from that for now. I wonder if there's some corrupt files here and there that wasn't caught by the installer. I had a similar problem with Miroslav Philharmonik 2 where some violin samples were corrupted despite IK Product Manager saying all is good.

The IKPM does not check the validity of files. Nor do the individual installers. When you find a possibly corrupt file, let Technical Support know. They are the only people who can investigate and fix it.
Yes, it's a bit of a pain, but I cannot see how any QA team could check every note in every instrument in these libraries, no matter whether the library is from IKM or another company.

It says on your promotion page: "That means you could get the equivalent of Syntronik 2 MAX with all 33 Syntronik Synths for the price of 1 single Synth!" You obviously changed your wording here since yesterday, when "the equivalent" was not included in the sentencePeter - IK Multimedia wrote: Sun May 29, 2022 8:24 pm And no, there is not and was never a plan or statement that group buy participants would automatically get Syntronik 2 MAX put in their account as the typical behavior in these group buys is that most people have been choosing their synths and installing along the way as the group buy progressed.
Anyway, when trying to download the content for backup ("Download resources" - Instruments updater): the dmg-files seem consistently to be zip-files and opposite, and some of the zip-files (dmg-files, that is) are missing ("404 not found") (I am on Windows).

Those YouTube videos by FinishYourSong are spot on. Thank you for sharing them! They got my s2 / s1 stuff squared away. The Syntronik 2 installers (both on Mac and Windows), seem to fall short of expanding all the zip (windows) and/or dmg (osx) files. It's pretty easy to identify the missing samples, and install... so - yes - open a support ticket. But also.. follow his steps, and get things squared away. It's pretty easy to just do yourself.
