Most contemporary DAWs are feature-rich and loaded with instruments and effects. Still, just about every fan base has this one gripe, this one thing they wish their DAW would just include like every other DAW does.
For me, it's Ableton Live and ARA.

Cubase won't be a Bitwig or Live but I would like to see fully featured LFO tools with trigger inputs, looping, one shot type of options as both an instrument insert and midi insert effect. There are third party tools which are fine but having it integrated would be desireable.

Wish every DAW had midi and audio routing as powerful and simple to use as Reaper.
It’s ok in Ableton to a point, tricky in Bitwig, but especially on the MIDI side a shitshow in Studio One.

One of the reasons I got rid of Studio One and went back to only ReaperWatchTheGuitar wrote: Tue May 31, 2022 1:07 pm Wish every DAW had midi and audio routing as powerful and simple to use as Reaper.

If Bitwig had audio pitch correction it would be complete for me
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Live has a Looper effect which lets you set your tempo with the length of the first loop. I wish Bitwig had something similar.

Ableton. Bounce in Place and turning off devices saving CPU/RAM. I'd be very happy if they'd add these features from Bitwig.

The #1 Bitwig feature I’d love in Ableton is the plugin crash protection that stops a problematic plugin from crashing the DAW completelyfireapplered wrote: Tue May 31, 2022 5:04 pm Ableton. I'd like the modulation, clip launching, and looks from Bitwig in Reaper, and the depth of functionality, resource management / efficiency, and scripting of Reaper in Bitwig. If I can't have that, would Bitwig please support ReWire? Pretty please??

I used to wish Logic had instrument definitions for hardware synths, but that's becoming less of a need as more and more editor plugins are becoming available for most of my hardware.
I guess the big thing is that I wish Logic allowed me to move tracks and busses around as simply and easily as Sonar/Cakewalk and some other DAWs do. I really hate now rigid Logic is with positioning them.

That and being able to nest multiple levels of folders would be great.cryophonik wrote: Tue May 31, 2022 7:41 pm I used to wish Logic had instrument definitions for hardware synths, but that's becoming less of a need as more and more editor plugins are becoming available for most of my hardware.
