I'm just curious about what types of controllers are being used by the KVR folks out there. What's popular? What do you actually use regularly versus just taking up desk space? If one device you own checks a few boxes, please select the more specific/appropriate choice (use your judgement) rather than counting twice.

Just hw synth. Not always the same one. I occasionally think about a midi keyboard controller, one with pads on it for drum stuff, but I just hate spending money on something that doesn't make sound. But I think I'd use pads if I bought one. Maybe one day...

Usage in this order:

1 Launchpad Pro MKIII
2 MIDI Fighter Twister

If I could only have one it’d have to be the Launchpad ❤️

Most usage:
KeyStep 37
Midi Fighter Twister
Faderport

Auxiliary:
Sensel Morph
Roland AE-10 breath controller (it's super fun but it gets, uh, moist inside after an extended session and you can't just run a cloth through it like a saxophone).

Interesting to see what folks here use. I have so many damn controllers I use on a regular basis that it's borderline cray, but I hate editing via mouse where it can be avoided.

My own setup is (desktop):
1. Roland System-8 (main controller for synths)
2. MIDI Fighter Twister (main controller for FX on my desktop)
3. iPad running OSC (I have a setup in Reaper, using CSI, where the iPad adds displays to the MFTwister)
4. Behringer X-Touch One
5. Eucon Artist Mix (I usually only turn this on for final mixdown)
6. Yamaha P90B as a controller when I'm recording a piano or anything that's really velocity sensitive (the System-8 doesn't cut it there)

And my laptop...
6. SC-E24 (this is like 24 encoder MIDI Fighter Twister with displays - only works with Reaper right now - use this on my laptop)
7. NI Komplete Kontrol M32 (eh)
8. Sensel Morph (gets an extra octave out of the M32 and adds MPE)

I've got a Prophet-10 with Aftertouch, but honestly, never really use it as a controller. But it's there if I need/want channel aftertouch.

Hardware synth. Because it has a nice Fatar keybed and it failed me as a synth module ;)

I use a *drum roll* MIDI keyboard controller.
