Problem is I can not even run current version of Wavescentral to demo plugins. I could do it about 1 year ago

Waves does not support Win7 any more. I have 5 plugins I could not install and I do not care. I tried offline installation, but always got a wrong message that I did not have enough disk space. I saw that other users had same experience, Waves support could not help. V10 is said to be the last Win7 version, but it's not sure you can install V10 plugins today! You can't even demo, so I suppose, you won't be able to make plugins work.
It's not a compatibility issue, it's a Waves Central installation issue and Waves is not very interested in making their plugins still work in Win7

I haven't tried to install any Waves things in years and my machine is offline. I guess that will be an issue for me if I ever have to install WC

Your pc should be offline when you install Waves Central, otherwise it will automatically update to current version.
Most new plugins from other devs still work in WIN7, even though they say they don't support Win7 any more, that's my experience. Actually V10 of Waves plugins also should work, but Waves does not give the correct version of Waves Central for WIN7, that's what I think, not sure whether they do it deliberately.
