Recording automation with the effect sliders is not supported with Icarus 2.0.x. But you can record it if you click on the text next to the sliders and move your mouse up/down.
Or you can use your DAW's automation. The revevant parameters are called 'FX1 Par1' (=Effect 1 Parameter 1).
The upcoming Icarus 2.5 will support recording automation with the effect sliders. I already implemented your request.

Hey Markus, is there any way you could make the 3 oscillator menus automatable as well? (Stereo modes, wavetable and waveform operators). I believe you've done this for other synths. It's really fun to be able to turn a knob and quickly go through lots of different oscillators wavetable and functions, almost like a controlled randomizer.Markus Krause wrote: Tue May 31, 2022 7:14 am Recording automation with the effect sliders is not supported with Icarus 2.0.x. in another topic i had to argue with some hardware fanatics, that blindly supporting big hardware companies and not developing even equal to soft developers products, selling on 10-20 bigger prices is actually standing against soft developers, offering really amazing stuff to very affordable prices.
Music is in progress despite all issues around the world and 90% is thanks to soft developers, cause most producers can't afford 20 hardware synths each 1000+ euro, neither most of them offer flex abilities of software, so software developers definitely deserve support pushing entire music world ahead
If Markus decide to make hardware synth some day and need designers help i'm in 100% with my nonlinear dynamic technology, which continue to grow as system and sonic results for now in virtual environment, but will be interesting to be implemented in hardware as well, cause it's really fun for players to have such functionality during live gig or just playing for fun at home and st thesound is more live and dynamic.
It's a lot work, analyzing, reshaping so on so it's kind of top of the iceberg.
Basic difference is like to watch picture and film, one is static other dynamic plus control,so if somebody wonder why still nothing is available it's because i continue to develop new applications and same time simplifying practical usage of this dynamic technology/system.
First modulations was very complex you have to use many cc foot, expression so on,now i focus on mod wheel and aftertouch only - for example first 20 % of mod wheel modulation will give you one dynamic and harmonic twist, then between 20 and 50 % will be avaiable something different and 50-100% switch to another harmonic twist and all that is connected to aftertouch which another reshaping function applied at any time to previous...that's actually very simplified explanation ,cause as programming is result of a lot of analizing and experiments till one final dope modulation(reshaping)is achieved ,which mean absolutelly knowing 100% of the synth capabilities and i'm still like 10% of what Icarus can do so to squeeze the max.
So for sure may cool things from Velltone for Icarus in near future,it's amazing synth, imho sonic monster, one of the best available, superior to many hardware synths in any direction and continue to grow
Cheers

This would not work properly from the technical side, as it can result in glitches and CPU spikes.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Tue May 31, 2022 3:23 pmHey Markus, is there any way you could make the 3 oscillator menus automatable as well? Will there be a skin for 4k resolution? The demo version of Icarus2 looks good in 4K, but if the skin was 1/3 bigger it would be great.

Ok. It would be cool if there were next/previous arrows for the stereo and wavetable functions (or whatever it's called) menus, like there is for the wavetable menu.Markus Krause wrote: Wed Jun 01, 2022 7:52 amThis would not work properly from the technical side, as it can result in glitches and CPU spikes.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Tue May 31, 2022 3:23 pmHey Markus, is there any way you could make the 3 oscillator menus automatable as well? Installer requires Rosetta... so I extracted and installed manually and Icarus is working fine on my M1-Pro MBP.

Can you please tell me more details? Were you unable to run it? What OS version?Installer requires Rosetta... so I extracted and installed manually and Icarus is working fine on my M1-Pro MBP.
VST and AU are an universal binary that support M1 native as well as Intel.
The installer was built on MacOS 10.14 to make sure you can still run it on old Macs, as Apple has seriously messed up code-signing certificates for these machines (planed obsolescense?)
