I've been trying to use the shortcircuit sampler and it works, but it forgets what drumkit was loaded before I closed the session so it always shows a message complaining that it can't find one of the samples and a request for me to tell it where it is. I click Cancel because the path is too deep and navigating all the way to the sample is too much trouble. The project loads and all instruments are working fine except shortcircuit which is mute, so I open it and I see that it just didn't load the drumkit it was supposed to.
I've tried two DAWs and two plugin racks/hosts, and the problem is consistent. Is there any chance I could be doing something wrong?

I've found the solution myself. When the error message popped up, I always pressed 'Cancel' and reloaded the preset/drumkit. That preserves the problem. The right workaround is to do what shortcircuit is asking for: navigate all the way to the missing sample and tell it where it is. After that, save the project. That will fix everything, the correct preset/drumkit will be remembered the next time the project is open.
