Wow! What great sounds.
Playing my heart out on these old synths.
So cool
and for such skinny money.
Best move since I got into BabyAudio.

Yes, I should thank IK. I was very fortunate this group buy came around when it did. I am transitioning to use a laptop and vsts for my 80s cover band (and other bands). It seems pretty clear this will give me everything I need (at at reasonable CPU!). I am working on Duran Duran's Hungry Like to Wolf. So far two J8 patches seems to be fitting the bill perfectly for the synth arpeggio and the beginning pads. I feel pretty comfortable I will find everything I need in this synth package. Of course, the value is amazing. Fingers crossed no glitches disrupt the good vibes....

Now that the GB is over, does anyone know how to get the extra 100 multis? Or, if I already have them (since I've downloaded everything) how I can identify them?

At the IK site, In your account under My Products, you should have a download in amongst all the other Group Buy products called 'Syntronik 2 Multis' that be him. I guess it should be the same with the IK Product Manager.

I am not certain they ever popped up in Product Manager, but I see them here -> https://www.ikmultimedia.com/userarea/my-products/thenumber23 wrote: Sun Jun 05, 2022 6:26 am Now that the GB is over, does anyone know how to get the extra 100 multis? They new multis never got added to Product Manager. I am wondering if I should wait on the multis. It seems like there were a number of bugs to sort out.

Here's a nice playable fat synthlead multi for your very very diligent practice sessions
(yes, Billy, bearded Uncle Jordan IS watching
)
(and Professor Katsunori is also watching, but not quite as scary
)
These are three of the V-80 sounds, unmodified, the multi title being the first few letters of each layers chosen sound.
I added the NI Replika 'Soft Clouds' reverb (with lessened feedback)...
just because
Cheers

Why wait? No major showstoppers that I'm aware of.
Enjoy them now! Of course you will need to have installed all instruments and their presets for the multis to be effective. If you already have, then proceed on!

The reason I was thinking of waiting is it seems there are a bunch of bugs in the multis and I like to avoid tech issue if I can. So, maybe if I wait they will be fixed. (Wishful thinking?).

Some of the multis have errors. IIRC, "Stranger Things" multi didn't work at all.

Likely a fantasy to wait for fixes. But the multi bugs are not widespread, just sporadic. See Teksonic's posts regarding QA. IK can clearly sell stuff for cheap if they don't have to invest a lot in QA testing. Their products will never be released 100% bug free. But for the money, they are very usable.jeffn1 wrote: Sun Jun 05, 2022 9:32 pm The reason I was thinking of waiting is it seems there are a bunch of bugs in the multis and I like to avoid tech issue if I can. The few bugs that I've encountered seemed to be more related to the actual synth presets or Syntronik 2 itself, rather than the multis themselves.
Might as well enjoy them now, and if you hit a bump, just skip that one and move on. Or fix it yourself, as I did with one (the bug was in the actual preset). IK usually doesn't update most things until the next version.

There are bugs on all of the 43 Syntronik 1 multis presets offered in the group buyzzz00m wrote: Mon Jun 06, 2022 12:02 amLikely a fantasy to wait for fixes. There are bugs on 24 of the 31 firsts Syntronik 2 multis presets offered in the group buy and i have not tested the 69 other multis in this Syntronik 2 folder
There are bugs on 5 of the 31 firsts Syntronik 2 MAX multis presets offered in the group buy (i have not tested the 69 other multis in this Syntronik 2 MAX folder)
When you load the multi if there is an asterisk before the name of the multi preset it's because it have been modified because it can't load Syntronik 1 presets properly
All multis (Syntronik 1 or 2) that try to load Syntronik 1 presets in one or more parts of the multis are bugged
You can identify easily the bugged part if you choose the different parts you can see an asterisk before the preset name of the bugged part(s):
-Each time the filter is "OFF", you don't know if there was originally a formant, phaser or another filter, but that's not all!
-It change the "OSC 2" oscillator knob/fader ON by OFF (it's painful if there was originally a detune on the OSC 2)
-It change the LFO "BPM Sync" knob/fader ON to OFF or OFF to ON
Example with the "Dance Feast" multi preset loaded with Syntronik 1 and Syntronik 2:
part A

part B

part C

I dont think that "sporadic" is a good issue presentation with regard to "the multis bugs"!
