Waves will certainly still be in business when we are all gone (and most of the current developers as well). If you like a save investment, go with them (and update your operating system!).

i recently had to recover from a failed m.2 boot drive.
reinstalling all my old Waves plugins was a snap.
no issue.

Their constant stream of emails are their marketing tactic. Central, for the most part just makes complex process more simple and lets us know when there are updates. Plugin installers are very much welcome on my end as it cuts down my locating and installing all developer updates by hours... literally. The Noodlist wrote: Sat Jun 04, 2022 9:35 pm Waves Central needs a browser login to access, no doubt a sales tactic, I don't think it will be popular. Could it be another nail in the coffin?
I measured the difference a few years a go with the plugins I had at the time, many I had to install one at a time, each time having to authorise it and navigate through the the installer before I could hit install.

Waves Central installs in the Avid AAX folder, VST3 and VST3. Options for formats would be welcome.simon.a.billington wrote: Tue Jun 14, 2022 2:23 pm Their constant stream of emails are their marketing tactic. I only want VST3, deleting the rest solves this, the rest are an unneeded download and install.
There are worse installers, at least you can select which products to install.
It no longer needs me to login through the browser when using Waves Central, it might have been the maiden install.
