Just completed a HUGE project I wanna get your ears and opinions on.

I modified my Web site so people can stream my latest album project directly from the site in the original back-to-back fashion it was supposed to be heard in. The player was done in Flash and loads up all 15 tracks so that people can listen to it as one consistent performance.

I need some feedback on it. Firstly, what do you think of the album? I've worked extra hard on it and am very proud at the way it turned out. Everything was done in FL Studio, so the album is also a testament of FL Studio's powerful abilities. Secondly, how is the loading time? I'm getting almost no load time on my DSL connection, so maybe the code was very well written and it buffers it while it plays. It's supposed to be as seamless as possible to match the original album, but I think it stalls for a second or two the first time you play it through (you'll see what I mean when you get there). Finally, what do you think of the layout\implementation? I already have a Media Player that exists on the main site but I didn't want to build it into that to give the user something nice to look at. I was thinking of adding in more artwork and information so you can read about the album and look at the other pictures used for the project.

Anyway, I know that's a lot but I really hope some of you are up for the challenge and let me know what you think of the album! If the feedback is good, I'll probably end up adding in my other albums since I work mostly with album projects instead of individual random songs.

Visit the site and either load up The Double Eclipse from the Media Player on the bottom or click on the link that mentions the project on the main page.

Site looks good. Responds pretty quickly. The main page renders a bit oddly in Firefox, but it's still navigable.

Looks like you obviously spent a lot of time on it.

Just skimmed through the tracks and I like that they all have a distinctive mood and personality. The pacing is pretty slow and the tracks tend to evolve pretty slowly, perhaps a little too slowly for my attention span. The mix seems a little mid-heavy. Perhaps some extra compression on the drums would help?

Anyway, looks pretty polished for a one-man show. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the feedback. Other people have told me of the problem with Firefox and I'm looking into it. Thanks again.

Sure. I hate reviewing people's work because taste is so subjective. The most important thing is how you feel about it.

Nothing playing on Safari:

Believe me kuniklo, I know how that goes. I'm mostly interested in if the media player is behaving properly for people. I plan to add in all my albums so people can listen, and so far this is the best method to do so.

Victor, where'd you get that link from? It should load from main page or the media player, or http://www.spirographonline.com/media-p ... -album.htm if you can't get in from those two locations.

Safari reported an error on your media player page, and the error was that that link wasn't found. I just tried that link you gave, and I get the same error.

Took me awhile to figure out what Safari was, but now it all makes sense... In any event, I don't know why Safari is having trouble displaying the page. Are any other pages coming up strange or not at all? The link you listed doesn't even exist, so I don't know why Safari would list it. Anyone else having trouble with Safari?

No one else has Safari and can comment on this?
