the 'Q' button on the toolbar serves for quantization. It works on the current notes and is independent of the generators. Does not it work for you?

Is it possible to do quantization in Mutator
that works independently of the generation, but simply quantization of the phrase visible in the Mutator, according to the setting of the quantization button ?

Attila, I changed the chords in the Master Track of the Composition Window and executed the "Open Phrase in Mutator" command, but the chords in the Mutator did not change. I think this is a disadvantage. And I also really miss the ability to drag and drop a midi file with chords onto the Mutator Master Track. Thank you.

4.4 b11 crash - Open a New Composition. Right click in the new blank area and select 'Open in MIDI Mutator'.

And please, could someone tell me how to clear the MIDI Mutator and start over. I certainly apologize if I am missing what should be obvious, but the workflow is completely obscure to me.

It hasn't been implemented yet, but, you can CTRL-A and delete.

Hi lulukom,

this should work for chord-relative phrases (changing the chords then open in MM), but if your phrase includes only absolute notes, the chords in the MM won't change.

Please keep in mind that you work primarily with notes in the MIDI Mutator. The chords are secondary, the chords track is generated automatically based on the notes.
Dragging and dropping MIDI files with chords is a good idea.

4.4 b11 crash - Open a New Composition. Right click in the new blank area and select 'Open in MIDI Mutator'.

Many thanks, this will be fixed in beta12 (being uploaded now). That menu item should not be displayed at all when there are no selected phrases.

You don't want to clear the MIDI Mutator, because it was designed for modifying existing MIDI files/sequences/patterns, not for creating something new from scratch. If you want to create a new phrase that sounds good with any chords, the Phrase Editor must be used. BTW certain elements from the MIDI Mutator will be also added in the Phrase Editor soon.

Otherwise BluGenes' solution is perfect for removing all notes if that is what you want.

Hi Attila. Of course, I meant that the notes of the phrase are relative and therefore, when changing the chords of the Master Track and after opening the phrase in the Mutator, the chords of the Mutator should change. But unfortunately this does not happen.

I think you are going to like this! The new timing editor is useful for changing the feel for any classical/pop/modern genres.
If you find this useful, a similar editor will be added to the composition page.

Improvements:

• New 'timing' editor in the MIDI Mutator with saving/loading presets
• Bug fix: "Open in MIDI Mutator" was displayed (and crashed) also without phrase selection

I do exactly as you described, but the chords in the Mutator do not change. If you want , I can make a video

And the button Transposition of notes does not work in the Mutator. The button is responsive, but the pitches of the notes don't change (and visually too). And in Beta 12 the same problems ..
