Is Novum a VSTi?

It's a VST yes that is likely released this month.
I'm certain it will be multi-touch, like Abyss. Seems to use the same type of GUI. Peter was awesome about adding an option for multi-touch that kept open certain functions that required mouse over in Abyss, so hopefully this one will also be great for touch.

Thanks. It looks more like an iOS iPad app.
OT. I wish those iOS developers would port their apps to the Windows platform.
So now it is just a matter of the price for Novum.
I assume I can use my samples.

Hey, I think I can answer most of the questions:
* Novum comes as VST3 and AU
* you can (of course!) import your own samples
* there will be a 90 days trial - without any limitation
* yes, there will be an intro offer, and a special loyalty discount for Abyss users
* release will be 18th of June via tracktion.com

Some Features:
* granular engine with 6 layers
* Novum can take one sample and break it into 6 layers
* each layer is represented as a "tone colour" (a mostly stationary sound) and an envelope
* play all 6 layers at the same time and you get your original sample exactly back
* you can exchange tone colours and envelopes from other samples, simply via drag and drop
* the "Timbre Flower" offers spectral variations of the tone colours
* HOMOGENIZE turns tone-colours into organic, velvet like sound, eg perfect for pads
* comb filter and the obligatory "analog" modelled filter (ladder style)
* unique SYNTIFY allows to add harmonics
* Unlike normal saturation/ distortion this pushes the waveforms towards sawtooth
* Its a bit like PD in the Casio CZ synths, but here it works on samples

Novum comes with about 300 patches, made by artists like Databroth, Tomavatars (hey Tom, thx for the awesome video, you should make an entire album only using the Amen break!?) or Yuli Yolo.

stupid question, does Novum recognize the key/note of the samples?
if so how well is it? sure you have to always go by ear, but how well is it when i for example have 4 samples and dunno the root key and add E, F, D Sharp and for example C?

absolutely cannot wait!
