I can only get piano soundfont inside mutator. Ideally I want to be able to use the sounds inside Ableton or worse case scenario vst inside the standard version especially when you're trying to recreate a baseline line the piano doesn't really give it the justification you want to hear.

Right, but you can use any track instruments, if you right-click on the PLAY button.
If you hover the mouse over a button and you see a small triangle at the right bottom corner, then you can right click on it...

That's great but I've now selected serum in the dropdown menu but it doesn't give you any button to them open up serum so you can change the Presets.

When you do this in the normal RC you can press on the edit button to open up the plug-in but I don't see one in mutator

• New option: "Crop empty space for dropped MIDI" (click on the small gear above the piano keyboard)
• New option: "Limit dropped MIDI length" (click on the small gear above the piano keyboard)
• "Form new chords" added in the Chords section
• Small UI changes and some bug fixes

Building on Dan's comment re the vst for playback, I've encountered an issue as shown here:


Just throwing this out there but I wondered what the appetite would be for this to be a generator rather than a separate tab. A bit like the markov except with the mutator parameters and the facility to drop a midi file. An existing phrase could be converted to a "mutator" phrase.

Is there going to be any work around for getting this to play along with Ableton or RC because it's one thing manipulating the midi but it's helpful if you've got the rest of the song in the background or at least some drums, it gets a bit tedious after 10 minutes of just hearing the same loop without any other instruments. even if you could make this a standalone VST that could go inside Ableton that would be good.


The mutator got so many good things going for it, it just needs to be able to fit into the workflow of most producers that would benefit from this

Nice one for this mic I definitely think your idea of having it has another generator would help out a lot more as I like to create where I can hear the other instruments and drums being played at the same time so if Attila could just fix that it would be great

Hi Attila. I upgraded to beta 4.14 but RC keeps opening all Compositions in 4.3.4. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the program several times and even deleted the RapidComposerV4 folder in Documents. MAC OS 10.13.6. Why is this possible?

That works perfectly chopping empty spaces and limit in the bar, please can you add that same feature on the phrase library for when dropping in full song midi files

Ctrl-click on the PLAY button also starts composition playback, so this works already.
This info is included in the pop-up help.

this beta version is not different from v4.3.4, only a newer version. It uses the same settings, and everything else as v4.3.4.
What do you mean by "RC keeps opening all Compositions in 4.3.4"?

Other generators also support note placement on 1/16 boundaries but the Modern Irregular Rhythm works by placing various 2/16 3/16 4/16 etc length notes in the rhythm, making more interesting patterns.
The other generators tend to place notes on 1/4 and 1/8 (and sometimes 1/16 if allowed) divisions.

I'll make this a standalone VST/VST3/AU plug-in too!
I already built a plug-in version, but a few minor things are missing (preparing an icon, graphics for the installer, etc)

even if you could make this a standalone VST that could go inside Ableton that would be good.
