Not sure why they do this. I've spent about 3 months trying to just match presets and waveforms to the hardware I used to own. very lengthy process. Not sure why they have renamed every single thing. Last I checked renaming everything was a political stunt used in government. Would be nice if everything was a simple A B C got my sounds back and ready to create more music. What do the rest of you think?WatchTheGuitar wrote: Sat Apr 02, 2022 6:49 amMy guess is that Roland's hardware division probably like it that way. Keep the Cloud users in bedroom studios and hardware in air gapped pro studios and on stage.jamcat wrote: Fri Apr 01, 2022 11:29 pm Hi Brian. Why does Roland make everything so much more difficult than it needs to be?
It has so far kept me away from buying any Roland plugins.
Why not just let people buy and use the software without all the hoops and strings attached?
I would literally own all Roland VSTs right now instead of none, if that was the case.

Brian McClelland - I am experiencing core overloads and crackling on MacOS 12.4 Monterey again. Do the software instruments need a new patch? Is this something I need to submit a new ticket for?

Thanks for yet another sound bank but, when can we expect, if ever, new instrument release?Brian.McClelland wrote: Wed Jun 08, 2022 10:00 pm Hey, friends! Brian from Roland Cloud here. We haven’t seen anything new released for a very long time now (months)
All we see is - new sounds for existing instruments.
Looks like Roland Cloud is running out of puff…
How about releasing JP-8080?

They mentioned in an email to the RC users that a new synth was on the way. I think they had mentioned it was in the Legendary series.

Hey, XpanderDude! Sorry to hear that you're still experiencing some crackling. Please make sure that all of the instruments that you are using are updated to the most recent versions. We also recommend that the instruments be reinstantiated in DAW sessions with previous versions of the instruments. If you are still experiencing the crackling or static issue after checking those, please do reach out through the Contact Support portal in the lower left corner of Roland Cloud Manager and we will investigate the issue. Thanks!XpanderDude wrote: Thu Jun 09, 2022 1:11 am Brian McClelland - I am experiencing core overloads and crackling on MacOS 12.4 Monterey again. Do the software instruments need a new patch? This is the part I saw about that in the email, and I believe its posted on their site somewhere also. It doesn't mention about Zencore or Component modeling:
"Thank you for being a part of the Roland Cloud family. We value every member of our community, and we’ll keep bringing you the tools you need to make music...including a new Legendary polyphonic synthesizer very soon."

If you consider the JD-800 is also part of the Legendary series, while at the same time being an obviously repackaged Zenology expansion (outstanding bugs included), I'm betting we'll see a "Legendary" JX-8P soon enough...

i dont expect each month a new vst but Rolandcloud atm is really not special for old customers... especially that they dont enhance the existing vsts sadly.
