The latest release from Ambient Online (Vol 18), featuring almost 6 hours of music (at a guess - I haven't added it all up yet), comprising 49 tracks of diverse ambient music, all made by members of Ambient Online, hit the shelves at Bandcamp today. This compilation is available as a "name your price" release, so it should suit all pockets, and is well worth purchasing.
I went back to EnergyXT2 for this one, because I wanted to use a particular 32-bit VSTi.

Recorded/Mixed in EnergyXT2.7
Mastered in T-Racks 5
Instruments and FX
FMERA 2

EQP-1A

The album may be found here:-

EDIT: 20241210 - I remixed the track in December 2024. I made some minor volume and EQ adjustments and remastered ready for a future album release.

I checked out "Paramnesia": It seems to be a very relaxing spacious
ambient track. Not that the beginning puts you in a deep sleep, but
the pulse is already lowering.
From about 3:00 minutes, some louder elements are added, placed
very nicely in the room. Also a slight increase in the "overall intensity"
can be heard.
All in all: A very nice track that really makes you think and relax -
that might take you into another world and present a new spherical
dimension.

I'm always curious about how you create these...do you perform them live or via patterns in a sequencer? Anyway it's really well done.

This was actually inspired by the lyrics of Nine Inch Nails' "Every Day is Exactly the Same", although the music seems to have taken off in quite a different direction

A big part of the writing here was concentrated on panning similar parts (2 WOLLO vocal instances) (2 Z3ta+2 arps) on opposing sides of the mix. I left the lead, bass and vocal samples somewhere in the middle.PatchAdamz wrote: Fri Jun 10, 2022 12:25 am Wow, very expansive and relaxing.

I guess those thumbs indicate that you'll be taking a short break from the kalimba
Thanks very much for listening and for the great comments, Patch. I'm glad it hit the spot

I really like the atmosphere. It's somewhat dreamy but it has a sense of tension and mystery. Like looking deep into the starry sky, relizing how big the universe is and how many wonders it hides. It builds up really nicely and gets pretty epic in a good way. Ends a little abruptly though.

Hi Tim
I like how this track rises and fall or maybe more like waves coming and going on the shore.
And your choice and blend of sounds are excellent. Furthermore I just got myself some new headphones and this is the kind of music I prefer listening to with headphones because it really makes me focus on the details.
Have a great one

Over 90% of my tracks are created entirely in a sequencer or audio editor. This was no exception. The vocals that enter at 4:50 were grabbed from Sampletank, enhanced via PaulStretch, and loaded into Iris2. Occasionally I'll add some bass or guitar to a piece via Pod Farm.frank1985 wrote: Fri Jun 10, 2022 8:43 pm I'm always curious about how you create these...do you perform them live or via patterns in a sequencer? Love the understated beginning - expansive, yet somehow 'hollow' sounds...intriguing sound quality ....especially when combined with the dissonant music.
The lift at 4mins 50secs or so is very cleverly and subtly 'heralded' by little synth whisperings before hand.
Works as it stands, but I was definitely expected it to return to those opening sounds at the end? Then again I am mildly obsessed with symmetry / returning home / circles in my musical structures!

That was quite the journey to listen through. The song really evolves over time. I agree with the others, I like how it has this element of mystery that you can't quite put your finger on yet works really well with the overall vibe.
Thanks for posting how you incorporated Iris2. That was going to be my first question. I forgot I had Iris2 until recently and was curious to gain a little insight as to how you used it here. Thanks for sharing!
