Sounds OK and you have to hope they'll improve it over time. It's still just a bit too big for my needs, though, it would mean either reaching over my laptop for it or reaching over it for my laptop. If it was half the depth it would be perfect. I think I'll stick with my Lightpad Blocks for the time being. Thanks for the update, though.
... thinking some more, I start to wonder if maybe I need to support these guys if we ever want to see an improved version or different sizes? Maybe I should just buy one for the hell of it? I just looked and they are a lot more expensive now. It would end up costing me around Au$1600 delivered, which is a bit pricey for somthing I may get very little use from. Im so tempted, though.

After watching the 1.2 update video I thought "f**k it!"' and bought one. It turned out to be a lot cheaper than the price they were showing, so it's cost me about 750 euros, delivered, which is Au$1125. That's a bit more than I paid for my Seaboard 25 but I think I'm going ot like this a lot more. So thanks for the push, TJ. If I get off my arse and sell my Analog Keys it should cover most of it.

Great to hear. The touch feel is more like the Roli block, but its way bigger of course. I am more used to a harder surface, but it works ok. Its simply different and needs adaption to play…
I have now three LinnStrument like controllers, the original, a Sensel and the Erae Touch. I could build a Linn Castle now, like Rick Wakeman had his keyboard castle around…; - ) But I can’t compete with his virtuosity…

I'd prefer to do the opposite - have as little stuff on stage as possible. The idea of attaching the Erae Touch to a drum stand and using just that and my laptop is hugely compelling. If it worked, I'd ditch all the rest of my hardware and buy my band-mate one so he can drum on it. We'd be like stage twins, one with fingers and the other with sticks!
The other thing that would be really cool/minimalist would be to pick up a Lightpad Block and rip out a killer solo on it. I'd have to practise a lot, though, and I'm not likely to do that, so it probably won't happen.

I had one in the 80s and 90s but stopped using it when I started working with Sik, mostly as a way to differentiate it from what I'd been doing before. But I bought another one last year, in case i ever decide to get up and do the 80s cover thing I've been fiddling with for the last couple of years.

Hmmm, About a week ago I emailed the company and raised a support ticked (about placing an order/VAT to the UK etc), no response to either...has anyone actually received an order from these guys yet?
Midi touch controllers seem to have a troubled past- Roli went bust (then came back. Maybe), Sensel stopped making the Morph, Osmose seems to be perpetually delayed...its only really the Linnstrumen that stayed the course!

Yeah, I'm a bit worried, too. I emailed them last week and asked for a ball park idea of when to expect mine and I've heard nothing back so far. I'll be patient, though, it's not like it's something I actually need.

This seems to be the best site for information that I have found...I think I will wait before placing an order until more people have them in hand.

Looks OK, lots of whinging, though. It's only a month since an official update, which sounds OK to me. And the 1.2 firmware update dropped less than two days ago so things are obviously happening. Thanks for the link.

They were also at NAMM so are probably wiped out but the 1.2 update YT video had a lot of info in...
It's all about if they can get the parts and make them in volume, some people have been waiting for over 6 months apparently...that said, I have been waiting over 2 years for an Osmose!!

I just got a reply to my enquiry. It's taken 10 days or so but I get the impression they are busy. This is the entire email I received -

Yeh, I also got one saying 'July' but that they include EU VAT when selling to the UK (which frankly is illegal as we will get charged 20% extra UK VAT on entry) so I am going to pass...maybe if it ever gets into the UK shops I can try it safely- Juno look like they are coping to stock it.
PS- I noted the website has been updated to say 'Expected delivery: July-Aug 2022*' - I suspect this could definitely slip again!

I've seen it advertised at Perfect Circuit, so it looks like they are planning to get it out to shops at some point. I'm happy to give them my money now and wait. It's not like I have a desperate need for the thing and they probably need the money more than I do. I had to pay 10% GST on mine but that's standard procedure. It was still cheaper than I was expecting.

The same thing is happening with cars. I've got two orders in with different dealers at the moment and I'll take whichever one can get me a car first. I've paid $1000 deposit and, even though they are both saying September, I really don't expect to see my new car until the end of the year, if I'm lucky.SLiC wrote: Mon Jun 20, 2022 2:12 pmPS- I noted the website has been updated to say 'Expected delivery: July-Aug 2022*' - I suspect this could definitely slip again!
