Hello
I am looking for some guidance. I am interested in either a 25 or 37 key midicontroller, USB powered. Kind of interested in the IK multimedia, Arturia, M/audio. Would love to hear your thoughts, thank you for your time and your help.

How about this one? https://www.thomann.de/de/native_instru ... ol_m32.htm

You can either use it with Native Instruments' Komplete Kontrol software, or use 4 pages of MIDI CC mappings for the 8 knobs. The (mini) keys are great, I used to own it.

I travel a lot & use the Nektar LX Mini. Agree with everything this SoS review says:

I’ve previously tried Arturia Minilab, AKAI MPK Mini mk3 & IK iRig Mini for portable keyboards & this wins hands down. Never tried the NI M32 (earlier post) but hear it’s very good too, although ties you into the NI universe if you wanna use the arp etc.

My only criticism of the Nektar LX Mini is that the arp(s) - there’s 2! - can’t be latched. So you gotta keep keys held down if you want to use the arp. Obvs hardware arps aren’t something everyone uses but worth being aware of.

As an aside, I also own an Arturia KeyStep 37 - great bit of kit. 3 octaves of ‘slim’ (bigger than Nektar) keys with aftertouch (not a biggie for me as a home producer but for some it is). But more arp/sequencer than DAW controller (i.e. no transport etc.).

Hope that’s helpful.
