Today been using CLAP version of Hive. One thing I always wanted in Hive was a second Random modulator or an option for the existing Random to have a per target option. If I modulate 4 parameters with Random, all 4 parameters follow the same random steps. Now using CLAP and Bitwig's per voice modulation, I can have multiple random modulators! I also can easily run out of mod slots in Hive... now I can add as much modulation as I want so that limit is gone!
So even with a synth like Hive that is very capable for modulation, being able to fully use Bitwig modulators is an advantage!

So one of the things I’ve been thinking as I’ve been hacking away in clap - and this is ironic considering how maximalist a design principle surge follows - is that the cooperation between the host and the plugin at a voice level will make “smaller” synths suddenly much “bigger”. I have a little clap demo synths for devs (no binary yet) and it’s just a pretty good sawtooth implementation and a nice svf filter. And this is one of the things I find so exciting. Clap isn’t just a plugin format. Clap is a standard by which hosts and plugins can have extensible open cooperation at a much more granular level.

Not possible, unless you wrap a CLAP plugin in an AUv3 wrapper. You will always be constrained by what's possible with an AUv3 plugin. But I'm sure this will be a path some will take. This helps developers. It won't have any noticeable effect on users.

Voice Stacking is not yet implemented in the u-he betas and who knows when it might be. Surge works with voice stacking if you want to try it.

I am getting hung and dropped notes with Hive. MacOS 10.15.7
Nevermind, I see that setting the channel to 1 fixes the problem, instead of ALL to Same. Does CLAP expect to only see channel 1?
