Band in a Box Crossgrade

I've really enjoyed using Band in a box for quick sketches of song ideas. I've recently switched to a MacBook Pro from a windows machine and I'm faced with the cross grade process and I'm absolutely amazed at the cost. It is literally hundreds of dollars even with the current Mac version sale to cross grade to the Mac version. In addition all of my add-on packs have to be repurchased? Again hundreds of dollars? Have others run into this? Is there a better way than spending an extra $500 to rebuy everything I've already purchased?

You're allowed to have Biab active on 3 computers at the same time.
If you use only one Win installation, maybe they are open to allow you to download and use one instance of the Mac version if you ask?

Thanks for the response Saffran, unfortunately they refuse to allow me to even switch to a Mac license. I have to pay $200 to cross grade to access the Mac client and then buy all my add ons again. I've asked them to please involve a manager to confirm if this is indeed true. Seems misguided to me.

Good luck, they wouldn't do anything for me when I upgraded to an Apple Silicon Mac when they first came out - BIAB would not work on it so I wanted to use a Windows machine to keep going with the software (that I have spent a fortune on over the years). I paid the crossgrade price but all my add-ons were going to need to be repurchased too! Complete and utter robbery...
It is theoretically possible to convert the real tracks from Mac to PC (and , I assume, the other way) but is a nightmare with the way they manage metadata.
In the end I just didn't use it for almost six months until they got it working reliably.
Very disappointing company, and their software makes me feel like it's 1995 again...

Yeah its very backwards - fair enough if you have to crossgrade to the Mac license separately - its not great but you can sorta justify it for the added engineering costs, especially considering its an ancient windows program. But having to repurchase all the add-ons is just plain unfair...
