Which snare is this?

I swear I've heard this as a more or less sample/preset before, but I can't for the life of me remember.
And if it's not a sample, how do one make it?

Definitely not an 808.

Only listening on laptop so take with salt but it sounds very much like a classic jungle snare. So, you might like to mix in a little hi-hat to arrive at that sound. Not necessarily and probably especially not on the beat but some metallic tail mixed in there might be good medicine.

At first I was thinking it was the Long Red snare but it's definitely not that. Then I though maybe it's the When the Levee Breaks snare pitched up a bit but it's also not that. I can't put my finger on it but it sounds familiar. There's also good chance that there's a few snares from different breaks layered up.

It's probably a real snare, tweaked.

Sound like a heavily processed piccolo snare in a real kit. That's a good starting place anyway. Addictive drums could make that sound pretty easily

Yes! It does sound like a piccolo snare. Good call.Ah_Dziz wrote: Thu Jul 21, 2022 2:45 am Sound like a heavily processed piccolo snare in a real kit. That's a good starting place anyway. Addictive drums could make that sound pretty easily
