I can drag a file from Reaper's file browser into Novum without problem.Dunc wrote: Sun Jun 19, 2022 8:12 am The drag and drop does not seem to work in REAPER. I had to register the 'Basics' folder from within a standalone instance of Blue Cat Patchwork. The same thing goes for drag and drop of a sample - does not want to do it within REAPER.
Anybody else getting the same thing, or do I have some setting in REAPER I need to change?

There was similar issue with a user in Cubase 12. Unchecking "Always on top" solved the issue.Dunc wrote: Sun Jun 19, 2022 8:12 am Anybody else getting the same thing, or do I have some setting in REAPER I need to change?
Sorry for the inconvenience! I just added a menu entry "REGISTER CONTENT PACK ..." in the main menu, in this way you don't need to drag and drop and can use normal system file browser to select the pack. Will be in next version (1.01)

This has possibly the worst 'flat' interface the world has ever seen. How stunning and brave! How 'cutting edge'! How are you supposed to know what you can and cannot click on? Could he make the grey text any darker, so that it's completely invisible, perhaps? Oh wait - his search box IS almost completely invisible. We wouldn't want needless 'clutter' in an interface, would we, like actually being able to SEE parts of it! Why not just make the entire interface BLACK and then have a little 50 pixel wide 'torch' that you 'shine' over parts of the interface, in order to reveal only a tiny bit of it at a time? That would be so much better (sarcasm).
For example, at 2:29 in the Youtube video, he clicks on the word 'HOMOGENIZED' - even though it looks like every other TITLE in the interface. Oh wait - the 'buttons' are slighly darker grey than the titles, brilliant.

Really impressed with this and thanks for the heads up about the jrr deal I just bought it.
Just wondered if I am missing something but is there anyway of seeing the time within the delay (in ms or when sync). Could not see it displayed anywhere on the gui.

Thanks for the hint - I just added this: when you click / drag the TIME slider it now shows the time in milliseconds -> will be available in the first update 1.01Samiver wrote: Sun Jun 19, 2022 8:59 am Really impressed with this and thanks for the heads up about the jrr deal I just bought it.

That's great, thanks. I will keep an eye out for when the update is available.PetVor wrote: Sun Jun 19, 2022 9:14 amThanks for the hint - I just added this: when you click / drag the TIME slider it now shows the time in milliseconds -> will be available in the first update 1.01Samiver wrote: Sun Jun 19, 2022 8:59 am Really impressed with this and thanks for the heads up about the jrr deal I just bought it.

The demo restrictions were annoying enough to purchase Novum after about an hour of experimentation
I really like the layer approach and the possibility to edit each layer totally individually, that makes for some amazingly dense/complex grain clouds. Well done!

I don't have 'always on top' checked - I've tried checking/unchecking, but it made no difference to drag and drop into REAPER.
Anyway, thanks to the suggestion from Biome_Digital about using the REAPER Media Explorer, I can now drag and drop

A first MPE test reveals, that the pitch bend obviously does not go into a playing grain. It seems to pick the pitch and sticks to it. A long pitch slide is steppy…
I couldn’t find a setting for the pitch bend range, it seems to be set to 1 octave…

1st encounter - decomposing a snippet from one my orchestral compositions in Novum, tweaking some of the individual layers on the fly.
