Looking for some tips on how to make two similar bass sounds
One here, around 0:38
And another here, around 5:10
Sounds like filter sweeps to me, but I feel like there’s more to it. It also reminds me of a Reese bass, but not quite.

Open this preset in Vital and you'll see how it's done.
Basically it's a bandpass on a supersaw moving up n down and a 2nd layer for the sub but I put all into one preset for efficiency but I would make it in two separate synths and channels

Hmmm can't help u there but if it has a bandpass filter and unison it shouldn't be too hard.
I've listened to a demo of one and it might be the first real synth I get if I can get some spare change for it

It has bandpass. Not really unison in the way that Vital does it, but you can move over to the superwaves engine, and adjust the detune. I think it's 4 copies of the wave. Also if memory serves, if you don't turn on paraphonic mode, you get all 4 voices acting in unison, so it should work out pretty well I think.
As for you getting one, it's weird. I find it extremely versatile and limiting at the same time. If you can think of it, the microfreak can probably do at least a basic version of it, but the engines aren't as full featured as on many other synths, also only 4 voices.

Hmmm yeah I might look for more re than 4 voices but then again I have zero analog gear apart from mics and haven't needed it yet.
There's a lot that can be done to make digital sound more analog and in a mix it's not very noticeable.
But something like Diva on its own can definitely sound just nicer than almost anything else in the digital realm

Well Microfreak is already a digital synth, so you still wouldn’t have an analog synth. I will admit I didn’t know this when I bought it, but I’m not bothered by it at all. I already had Vital, among other more capable softsynths, they just weren’t clicking for me in the way that hardware synths do now
