I was surprised that Cubase doesn't have this function while Studio One has it! I know that Logic has it, but who else?
It is a very useful function and strangely I only find S1 has it on Windows.

This is for already recorded chords. What I mean is showing the chords you are playing now.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Cubase does have a chord recognition/display feature, but it's not as intuitive as Studio One. With Cubase, you have to set up a chord track then route that chord track to the current instrument. Then, set them both to record. As you play, you'll see the chords appear in the chord track.
What Cubase needs to do is place a chord display feature right in the top panel where the track color, quantize, CPU monitor tools, etc are located. That'll be really convenient as useful.

I agree. They should make it obvious on one of the main panels (like Logic does).

I demoed BIAB years ago. It's very fast to come with a song actually! At least the structure of the song and the chords. I might look into it
Thanks for reminding me.

Yes Logic has it. I remember it since version 9.
Is there a plugin that I can insert into Bitwig/Live before the instrument that shows me such a thing?

chord track uses the monitored track by default so it's working

without any additional routings too (oops big picture
so with enabled MIDI input)

Yes you are right! It is working just by adding a chord track. Thank youxbitz wrote: Sat Jun 25, 2022 7:48 pm chord track uses the monitored track by default so it's working
