Hello,
I've just bought a Brother GX-151 analogue synthetizer/organ, that I love.
I would like to have more information about it and the instruction manual if someone has it.
I contact Brother museum in Japan for infos and they quickly answer me :
"I am Iwao in charge of archiving at CSR & Communications Department, Brother Industries.
Sorry for the late reply.
The electronic organ for inquiries: GX-151, but unfortunately the instruction manual is not found in our archive historical materials.
Both the department in charge and the company in charge of sales at that time disappeared from the organization more than 30 years ago.
At that time, it is probable that the materials were also discarded.
All that is barely left is a Japanese pamphlet.
There seems to be "harpsichord, marimba, vibraphone" as preset items.
It is unknown that there is no "Auto Emillion" logo,
Maybe it's been taken somewhere over the years.
By the way, this GX-151 was launched in 1981.
Also, probably in 1982,
Regarding a portable electronic keyboard like this GX-151
There was a record that we signed an OEM contract with Baldwin.
Although it is not an official news release, its original manuscript and
There was a save of product photos for release.
So it seems natural that they are similar.
That is all for the historical materials that can be put out. "
Mine as no Auto Emilion logo on it and preset are different from "original" as they are harpsichord, piano and full organ.
If someone can tell me more about it, artists using it and share the manual, it would be great.
Thank you !
Brother GX-151 ( Baldwin Discoverer DS-50)

Hi, I just got a Brother GX-151, I am quite new with synths and I found your post so I wanted to ask you if you were able to find the user manual and if you know how the IN/OUT RCA ports works, I believed these were for looping effects but I was wrong, so do you have an idea on how it works and how to connect guitar effect pedals to it? Any comment is greatly appreciated, thanks!

I had a Brother MIDI sequencer. It was perhaps the most frustrating piece of gear I’ve ever owned in my life.
