Uh, even worse. Thanks for the clarification!Urs wrote: Sun Jun 19, 2022 9:43 amCorrection: It can be terminated effective immediately for "good cause" (§9.5), which is up to Steinberg to define (e.g. promote competing product, publish bug in VST3 design?), or 14 days (§9.4) if they assess that e.g. a bug in your code is breach of contact.moss wrote: Sun Jun 19, 2022 8:47 am This is the way how Steinberg handles VST3. The closed source license is, up to my knowledge, free but you have to sign their license agreement, which contains the highly discussed paragraph that they can take down your license with a 6 month notice.

Anywhos congrats on the new plugin STDs hopefully Steinburgers won't Clap back about itz .... To be honest the sexual transmitted disease and clap thing is kinda funny in a way but I hope this Clap plugin thing takes off . There has been alot of slow embrace for VST3 so it's nice to see something new .

There is zero transparency or communication or anything else going on publicly at NI at the moment and that is coming over as being abusive and ignorant to its users, something in the past they have been good at, but now seemingly mastering completely.Vagusuk wrote: Fri Jun 17, 2022 9:00 pm
And of course they wouldn't be super open - there's a benefit to transparency, but also a curse, which has hurt NI in the past. They're rightly cautious, but I think this statement is a stretch too far, because, because it has no basis in their recent interactions with the community. His quote was specifically about listening to customers, and as customers, we have a right to question, and with all the best will in the world, their customers have been asking for VST3 and M1 for a very long time, and they aren't delivering in anywhere near an acceptable timline.
The Cattini quote is just more belligerence on their behalf when it is not backed up by any actuality. They are very keen to delete any critics they view as 'abusive' yet they don't include deleting themselves in that ethos.

I've been exploring using Bitwig's per voice modulators with the u-he CLAP betas for a week now. Hive, ACE and Diva suddenly have wide new landscapes of sonic possibilities! For someone who loves sound design like me, it is an incredible advancement!

Hey Pdxindy, care to post some audio examples? I'm curious....pdxindy wrote: Tue Jun 21, 2022 2:02 pm I've been exploring using Bitwig's per voice modulators with the u-he CLAP betas for a week now. Here is one example in Hive... using ParSeq-8 modulators (per voice) from Bitwig and sequencing various parameters in Hive. Some held notes only, all parameter sequencing. Could not do this without the CLAP version.kev2525 wrote: Tue Jun 21, 2022 4:36 pmHey Pdxindy, care to post some audio examples? Then here are a couple examples in ACE. There are a number of parameters that cannot be directly modulated in ACE. For example, Env Decay, Ring Mod amount, Mod Depths, Multiples Input Levels, VCO Mix, etc. All of them can be modulated per voice using Bitwig modulators. Plus Bitwig has a bunch of modulators that have no equivalent in ACE. So yeah, these sounds could not be done otherwise.

pretty nice that the MIDI CC modulator (continuous controller (CC), PRESSURE, or pitch BEND messages) also works in pre-voice mode and even has its own MIDI-channel selector...

The most nice feature is CLAP is that the music industry does not longer depend on the weird/bad decisions of a single monopolistic company

Thanks so much for posting! Those examples are on point. I must say I was most impressed with the Hive example. That is truly amazing!pdxindy wrote: Tue Jun 21, 2022 5:38 pmHere is one example in Hive... using ParSeq-8 modulators (per voice) from Bitwig and sequencing various parameters in Hive. There are so many creative possibilities... the endless capability of the Bitwig Modulation system combined with the amazing sound quality of u-he synths! That combination was a fantasy of mine since learning that Bitwig modulation was per voice for Bitwig instruments... but didn't expect it to become a reality!

Even though Hive is quite capable for modulation, there's a whole range of new possibilities using Bitwig modulators and CLAP.kev2525 wrote: Tue Jun 21, 2022 8:32 pm

Now one can do stuff like have only particular notes in a midi clip be affected by a Modulator even if those note(s) overlap other notes. Then there is unlimited parameter sequencing (per voice). Even something simple like using the Bitwig AHDSR Env. The Hold stage gives different shapes than the Hive Env's. And so on...

This is a very nice example
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.
