This is available in most DAW´s...Arashi wrote: Wed Jun 22, 2022 12:25 amLogic doesn't let you rename plugins, but it does let you create your own custom folders and put each plugin in as many of those folders as you want. They can even have subfolders. For example, I have a "Classic Synths" folder, with subfolders for each company, for all the various emulations.
My problem is plugin renaming...

There's very little for end users to worry about, since other standards aren't being dropped and the reception from developers so far, at least on KVR, has been overwhelmingly positive, so it seems the people most affected aren't that worried either.neo77 wrote: Wed Jun 22, 2022 12:52 pm IMHO we should be focussing on making music and do not need another plugin standard to worry about. I have a bunch of DAW's that do not even support VST3.
A developer friendly, open source and OS-agnostic plug-in format/codebase/philosophy is something that should help end users rest easier at night, if anything, since we'll no longer have to worry about our favourite tools suddenly becoming obsolete/unusable because a big company(ies) decide to get their d*cks out and drop support for one thing or another and or play nasty legal games etc.

And how do they appear in the list where you load the plugins??fisherKing wrote: Wed Jun 22, 2022 2:15 amlogic lets you give 'custom names' to your plugins, so you can name them whatever you want, and that's how they'll show up in a channel strip.Arashi wrote: Wed Jun 22, 2022 12:25 amLogic doesn't let you rename plugins, but it does let you create your own custom folders and put each plugin in as many of those folders as you want. I don´t want to rename a single instance... I want to rename it right from the start to have all instances automatically having my custom name...

Well my DAW now supports CLAP and my most used synths are from u-he which is also supporting CLAP which allows me to do all sorts of new modulation stuff in my favorite synths which was not possible with VST2 or VST3 versions.neo77 wrote: Wed Jun 22, 2022 12:52 pm IMHO we should be focussing on making music and do not need another plugin standard to worry about. So I'm thrilled about CLAP. You of course are free to ignore it.

ACE, some held notes, using Bitwig per voice modulators to do parameter sequencing and modulating some parameters that cannot be modulated directly in ACE. Now it is like ACE XL!

Do we have a thread or a site anywhere that lists all the currently available CLAP plugins? Is it just U-he and Surge so far? Sounds like the list will grow fast, so would be great if there was some place to track all of these (though I'm not volunteering for that effort - sorry, just don't have the capacity).

I recall the person who has kept up the Apple Silicon native list saying they were going to do the same for CLAP pluginsFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Wed Jun 22, 2022 1:57 pm Do we have a thread or a site anywhere that lists all the currently available CLAP plugins? Good stuff - I vaguely recall that. Didn't want to volunteer anyone else, but teilo has done a great job with that Apple Silicon thread/site. He may be waiting until things are a little further along.
If anyone releases any new CLAP plugins in the interim though, might be a good idea if folks just make mention here since this seems to be the most popular CLAP thread.
