Hi KVRers, this is my first track here. In fact this is the first track I have ever posted. So be kind ... or rude if you want to.
I, like many others here at KVR, am just a guitar player but given the amount of very nice free plugs and instruments and the availability of a fantastic Host (i.e. Tracktion NFR, thanks Jules) I thought I 'd give it a try. So last night I made this little tune with Tracktion, drumatic, FreeAlpha, NSkit free, sfz, kjaerhus classic, retrodelay and frohmage, supatrigga (clearly overused) and JCM900 and my vinyls. The mix is very rough and it's done through cheap headphones, but everything is programmed.
Thanks to all the devs for the great stuff and to scamme, quintosardo and Sasha Frank for helping with the web hosting.

It's a nice clean 128KBps mp3. I tested it but due to SP2 I had to tell IE to allow the download manually. Otherwise worked fine.
Wellcome guys

Hey there !
first of all welcome !
very nice sphere
the mix is superb mate - everything is audible and fits in place !
the bloops give it all a spatial feel
the 808 gives it a 80`s llcoolj`s i need love sphere
i don`t realy like the reverb used on the voices
there is something metalic init but perhaps that is intented.
good air like background music
the tapestop effects at the end have a perfect timing
they give it all a even more profi feel
not more to add but a thank you !

Thanks emerald. TBH The metalic timbre was not intentional and I know that Kjaerhus classic reverb is capable for better tails but it was a quick and dirty tune, just for fun and just to take part. The stop-reverse-silence etc. effects are due to almost random use of supatrigga. Fantastic plugin.
BTW anyone recognising the voice samples?

Hi, i seems to have dificulties to download it from my own site but i heared it from my PC when you sent "monday" to me, i have to say that it's very nice and easy on ears track. You mentioned that you are a guitar player, i'm guitar player myself and it's a shame that you didn't added some guitar line in it but still i enjoyed to heare it.

Welcome
Nice minimalistic feel with worthy drum programming.
With the tinny sound on the acoustic drums you lost the smoothness of the track. JMO
keep um comin

Thanx for listening vtx. The tinny sound was intentional. In fact drums are processed with a guitar amp (JCM900). If you have something to propose for dirtying drum trax without making the tinny you are wellcome. Thanx again.

OK got. Not in my realm of listening. What genre is this? Pretty well done to my ears - sounds are good. Needs to be mixed a bit more up front though. The Supatrigga? reverse-slowed down drum is a bit overdone to me, though try increasing the random parameter some. Panning the drum effects might be cool. It ain't jazz so I am probably way off.
