If you are using Live, you will need a second DAW so you can answer their support question with "No the problem isn't present with my other DAW."

Recreating a song took less than an hour typically, and I just whittled away at them over time until I had everything worth keeping. They ended up sounding much better for one reason or another.
That's too much wasted time. I could never.

I guess if someone is on macOS (where software can easily break after OS updates, or become incompatible) I can see them going through the trouble to do that, though. On Windows, I would just keep the old DAW installed and remove the bonus content, etc. if I didn't tend to use it much.

"Notifications for Nothing" are annoying. Blocking me in return is a good way to avoid this.

If I were thinking like that, I'd still get rid of the other DAWs and get something like a Maschine or MPC to scratch that itch. I guess FL Studio falls into that category, somewhat, though it's getting a bit too "big" as time rolls on.

But, honestly, you can simply get a DAW like Logic or Digital Performer and get the best of both worlds. Hell, even Cakewalk has features for Loop Based production stuff.

Mixcraft has a pattern based loop function that is similar to Bitwig. It can be recorded into, and launch clips. But unlike Bitwig, it started off as a linear DAW into which the loop function was added later so its a bit like having both types of DAW in one.
