NI Reaktor "Atmotion" - Sound turns to Crap when s

Hi,
I am using the "Atmotion" ensemble in Reaktor 4.0. It is on of the best sounding synths I have used and would love to figure out if there is any way to fix the problem with my patches.

The manual says that the envelopes are being driven by the global time clock. But the patches I made were created with out the time clock running. Now when I start the song to record the sound turns to crap no matter what bpm.

Is there a way to disengage reaktor ensemble from seeing the global time clock of the host?

It seems to me that if you make patches at lets say 140 bpm then want to work in a 85 bpm song you would have to re-make the patch. Which makes this synth almost unusable execpt if I play it and record the audio to another computer.

Has anyone figured out a workflow for this synth?

I'm not at home, so I can't access this instrument. It's from EI vol 1, right? Look for a sync toggle, which would change sync from Reaktor's clock to an external source, like your host. It may be on the GUI, or you may need to access the ensemble's properties. I can look at the instrument when I get home in a few hours if you can't locate it.

There's clock controls with BPM settings and internal/external clock switching on the A panel.
You can also turn the clock completely off here by selecting internal clock and turning off the run button.

1st: Note that this ensemble defaults into view < B > (you'll need to scroll this image to the right to see the view selector at the upper right corner)

You first need to select view < A > in order to access the clock parameters that I have highlighted at the bottom. There you have the option to run it freely, or toggle between the Reaktor clock or your host's.

Can't get any clearer than that, right?

Here is where I am at...

I have made several patches with out the clock running in either reaktor or a host. These pad sounds are super smooth sounding. Like pure drifting tones with slight detune.

The problem comes when I open reaktor in a host program and try and record. When I hit the record button reaktor starts the "clock" that controls the modulation parameters. This can either be linked to the host BPM or a built in reaktor BPM (lowest possible 60). But no matter what bpm its linked to i causes the synth patch I have created to sound really "grainy" or harsh.

What I think would help this is to either not have any time sequenced modulation or be able to turn the internal BPM down to zero. The lowest it will go is 60. Therefore preserving the smooth sounding osc. without the noisey time synced modulation.

Does anyone know what I would need to delete or unlink in the guts of this reaktor ensemble to make this possible.

Right click on the knob for the clock time in BPM to bring up the properties,and set the lower limit to 0...

Oh,and when you have Reaktor open as a plugin ,go to the instrument and/or ensemble properties and make sure that external sync to host is unchecked.

Hello once again,

I have still not been able to successfully gotten Atmotion to work the way that I want.

Sicklecell666 and ew, I thank you for you in-depth instruction to changing the bpm and intern/extern settings. But alas, no matter what settings I use as soon as I start the song recording the filters start to move and cause "aliasing" to the oscillators.

I just want to make this damn synth free of any filters, or the link to make the filters move at all.

I want to cripple this thing thru changing its wireing. Can anyone guide me thru it?
