Announcing a new site to track hosts and plugins that support the new CLAP plugin format.

https://clapdb.tech/

I will monitor this topic for additions and corrections. However, I would prefer that people use the Feedback link on the site to make these submissions. This will help make sure I do not lose track of them.

Developers may use the Feedback link to request a developer account to manage submissions and corrections for their titles.

Thanks for doing this teilo. Your Apple Silicon list is wonderfully comprehensive. I imagine it can be quite the time-suck so you're a good egg for doing this.

Some weird typos in there though.
For example https://clapdb.tech/developer/chodhury-dsp should of course be `chowdhury`

Suggestion to also add OS compatibility to these lists. Not all plugins and hosts will run on all platforms.

"A" typo. Fixed.

Titles are already identified by OS in the title's page, as well as in search.

EDIT: Sorry for the misread regarding iOS. My bad.

I think the suggestion wasn't iOS as much as it was "OS". So like surge runs on linux, macOS and windows.

Are you interested in source-only CLAPs or only binaries? I suppose I should make a binary distribution of the demo synth though :)

But thanks so much for doing this! I'm sure it will be very useful.

Odin2 has a binary available with CLAP. https://www.thewavewarden.com/odin2

PaulXStretch has a CLAP available. https://sonosaurus.com/paulxstretch/

Dexed has CLAP support in the nightly GitHub output. But I can't find the binary URL right now.

Dexed is here: https://github.com/asb2m10/dexed/action ... 2543692511

But those are debug builds, not recommended for real world usage.

Yes, the site already tags software title by supported OS. If you click on the software title, you will see supported OSs on its page. You can also search for them by OS on the search page.

I think I'm going to stick to binaries. I think that for the majority of the audience, source-only is a non-starter.

I think that is a good choice. For me, source-only is indeed a non-starter

Yes, my bad. Apology proffered.

FYI — I took the time today to get this running behind memcached (did the same for https://asaudio.tech). So I should be able to weather a surge. Cross-post away.

(I still sort of dread either of these sites hitting HackerNews.)

Technically nothing barring CLAP from running on other operating systems right? FreeBSD, Haiku, etc.

And yeah, I meant nothing with iOS but `Operating System` in general (are there CLAP plugins running on iOS yet? haha)

In case it's not clear, the "Recent Updates" section is exactly that. It doesn't have all info about the software titles, and as the list grows, entries there will drop off.

For full info and lists, click into a title, choose a category from the menus, use the built-in search, etc.
