FrettedSynth wrote: Thu Jun 23, 2022 3:56 pm The most fun I have ever had playing a direct line guitar.
Kept me up til 2am, again great job MeldaProduction.
I've always liked ur plugins...so if you like it must be good lol ;-)
Well thank you! didn't really think too many remember.
Had this setup with RC Inflator (oxford edition) between the amp and IR the dynamics were better then anything I have played direct.
When I got home yesterday had to test right away to make sure I was not dreaming LOL.
Now I have to find some documentation of how to create amps, found the UI one but sure could use more help to get started.

Hi FrettedSynth, check these videos and the ChandlerGuitar channel on Youtube:

Thank you, I know what I am doing tonight after work.
Sure hope my wife has not made plans :-)

With your great experience you will surely give us some gems! If you PM me your email address, I'll send you an overdrive pedal I made. That way you can study it and hopefully improve it. :)

How much do we expect MGuitararchitect to cost? I don't want to get too deep into it and then find it priced similar to MXXX on release, although that does seem likely.

Looks to be just guitar related, not every friggen thing like mxxx, probably not too bad on sale. Its pretty easy to upgrade to the creative bundle during the holiday sales, its a great deal once you have it. I literally havent bought a melda plugin in years, and i have probably 70% of them, and my collection keeps growing apparently.

This was an instant buy when I saw the custom design system. Its really exciting.

EQ stages should be pretty familiar to circuit designers, but the saturation options might need a little translating. With pedals or preamps, where I dabble, I tend to think in terms of 'silicone diode clipping', 'jfet clipping', 'transformer saturation', etc. Seeing Saturation 1 or Clip 2 doesn't correlate to terms I'm used to, so I'm wondering if there is a document somewhere that explains what the different saturation styles are, maybe even in language that is familiar to people with some amp experience. I recall seeing a graphic somewhere for MAmp indicating Vintage 1 as tube, Vintage 2 as transistor, and Modern as opamp. So I'm thinking something similar might already exist for these saturation types. I'm not requesting the type names be changed or anything, just looking for some guidelines.

You could ask in the melda subforum:

Not sure I like this approach, of trying to sell you 2-3 different products. You can load your own IRs for free with NadIR, but I think the idea here is they want you to buy MTurboAmp + MCabinet, and later MGuitarArchitect for convenience (or if they're smart, it will be included with MTurboAmp for free, I hope so). But yeah I wish this was all just 1 product, so you could have pedal + amp without having 2 instances of MTurboAmp in DAW, and I wish it didn't require MGuitarArchitect but was built-in MTurboAmp (again, unless MGuitarArchitect is free for MTurboAmp owners).

Or you could just hold off on buying MTurboAmp and wait for MGuitarArchitect which includes MTurboAmp.

I wanted MTurboAmp stand-alone to use it as a saturation unit without having to load all that other stuff, so I'm glad it's available.
