For 99% of things you can do with all the basic VCV tutorials out there. It's the same engine in the end.

Main difference is we have only built-in modules and some of the Host integrations are different (and we have a couple extra custom modules built in that you don't find in VCV Rack).

By the way there is a dedicated page on Patchstorage now -> https://patchstorage.com/platform/cardinal/

Not sure what you mean by this. The plugin doesn't come with any presets internally, because DPF doesn't support such a mechanism yet (afaik).
However you can find some patches in the repository -> https://github.com/DISTRHO/Cardinal/tree/main/patches

No guarantees there will even be a release this month. It's also not the point to have to release something every month. Some bugfixes/improvements would be nice though, there have been several reports of some issues. VST3 implementation would be nice to have finalized, but this mainly depends on the implementation in DPF.

Just be patient, there will be another release at some point. Rather release something stable than have to release early.

In reaper is ok, but standalone version 2.05 is not working.

If you are not running jack, then the jack standalone won't work obviously.

This is not meant for general use anyway, really more for testing.

Tnx... but why? I mean whT is the jack and why I don't need them when I use vcv? Hmm hmmm

I must check this out!

Because this is not VCV Rack, it's Cardinal. We use the same engine but the resulting software works differently.
The "jack standalone" is not really meant for production, but for testing and evaluation only.

Discussion/feedback and development discussion to happen on https://github.com/DISTRHO/Cardinal/issues/287

That said, I am curious if/how that works for you.
Feedback welcome!
great! that it works in a browser, of course i will use Cardinal as a plugin, but this quite fun, to see it work in a browser. it works, didn't do anything out of the ordinary yet, but Firefox on windows 10, seems to work...

Workng well in latest AVLinux and latest firefox. Not knowing what to expect, I was (happily) shocked when a synth appeared with its music playing in a new
browser window :hyper: Love the way arrow keys can reposition modules, to add space between them, in my case, without some space between them, I get instant information overload. The gui is great, cable colors and connections are nice, and the default music is enjoyable, and won't create ear fatigue while learning/experimenting. It was easy to add a new module...

I wonder if any of Tramp's GX plugins will become modules? I could imagine Cardinal being a modular spinoff of Guitarix for some guitarists who would like the modular approach to effect chains.
Cheers
