Not sure if we mean the same thing, but, I always found that they cater more to the "geek" crowd. Maybe except for Hive, which is a different concept, and more of an "oddball" exception in their portfolio.
I find the descriptions from both of you quite on point. The UHE stuff is rather on the geeky side for the most part. I needed my time to get on with their products as well, but sure is it worth it! :)

cheers

Left side generators, right side modulators, routing in the middle, additiona stuff on the bottom. Really not that difficult to grasp :)
I will always have a soft spot for Zebra. Zebra was my learning ground for complex synthesis and to me, everything just makes sense and so it encouraged me to really dig in and learn this stuff. I find it one of the best UI's ever. Very much looking forward to Zebra 3!

Zebra 3 is probably still a year away unfortunately...PhasePlant 2 is already out and is extremely good (was recently just $99 and now includes the 30 snapin FX)
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I prefer Bitwig's Grid to PP2... and it costs nothing :hihi:

T1, T2, T3 and T4 modulators can be set to keytrack.
Thank you. I'll try it soon.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Yes, this and you can define a custom curve very easily, which is very cool.

It also just has a fixed option on pitch. Nice.

Yes, those are powerful modulators!

Hi guys, I've never ventured much into Massive X because I found it quite buggy with macOS/M1 computers.

Any chance they improved the GIU/menu etc. in the very last update?

I'm tempted to buy it, there's a 99 USD offer until the end of month.

Coz it's kinda unique synth vst with powerful modulators indeed.

I just wished NI didn't suck that much with their GIU and all lol.

Cheers.

I reported it on NI community along with a couple other suggestions and it was acknowledged by a NI support guy and he has passed on the feedback to the team. So, hopefully in the next update.
I can't believe they're still so retarded in 2022, this is exactly the kind of thing that kills my workflow. I think I'll pass until the next update then. Can't believe it still takes NI 3 to 5 years to fix a synth correctly.

At least someone wrote earlier they fixed the fact that if you close the window and open it again, the selected preset was gone and you had a blank preset. Unbelievable lol

Which version was the last one you tried? Because, they did change a bit about the GUI (parameter value read outs, new skins, control sensitivity for the knobs etc.).

Seriously? You pass because you can't double click presets?

Well, probably better that way then, if such nullities annoy you.

Only if you run your DAW with Rosetta. When running it natively and using Apple‘s AU compability service for x86 plugins, you’ll get hanging notes unfortunately. At least that happens with Live 11.
