Thank you, Attila.
I uncheck the setting "Open RapidComposer in a separate window" under Settings / Miscellaneous, and now it works, though only the x86 Vst version. Vst3 and Vsti keep causing Reaper to crash.
In the x86 version it now works correctly. Thank you very much

Hi josejuan!

This is crazy. Maybe you have some software installed (e.g. Folder Guard) that affects folder access?
Do you have a virus scanner installed?
I don't know what to think because no-one else reported such serious issues with the plug-ins.

It is possible that the data in RapidComposerV4 (e.g. chords, scales, progressions library) got corrupted and make the program crash during importing them. Will you rename your existing Documents/RapidComposerV4 folder, and create a new one, and unzip this file in it:

If the plug-ins work with these files, I would gladly check your RapidComposerV4 folder if you send it to me in e-mail.

So the first version that behaved like this was v4.3.3? What was the last version that worked well?

Thank you very much.
My Documents/RapidComposerV4 folder was about 4 Gb, no less. All the compositions were there from the beginning.
I have done what you told me and now everything works perfectly.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience I've caused. The fault has been mine.
As a teacher, I have a OneDrive host that, without warning, moved all of my Docs content to OneDrive. That may have been the problem. The thing is, I did what you told me and all plugins work. Thank you very much, Attila.

Having Documents on OneDrive caused trouble also for another customer, so I must do something about it. Displaying a better error message would help to localize the problem.

On Mac OS X, the piano roll view keeps scrolling to the top whenever I hover my mouse over it. I have a "magic mouse", which is the default mouse that comes with many Apple computers.

The version 4.4b8 is hanging, when I'm editing the Allowed Notes in generators, which contain it (the Bass Generator, for example). It doesn't happen right after the application start, but after some track editing and listening it is almost inevitable.

I'm having a couple of problems with RC 4.3.4 on a Mac Catalina. VST3.

I will often use RC Standalone to "sketch". I then would like to fire up Cubase and open those sketches and drag the midi in to tracks I set up. When doing so I notice the following:
-I cannot use the "Open Composition" function in Cubase (some of the time), only the "Recent Compositions" will open.
-All tracks are renamed to "Channel 1", though I had them meticulously named in Standalone.
-RC names all imported midi to "Channel 1" because of renaming. If I drag from the Standalone the parts are named properly.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Omnisphere GUI freezes.
RC 4.3.4

When loading Omni, the interface freezes and doesn't respond unless you click on the track header or the track pop up. The mouse scroll wheel also freezes. One has to go back and forth between clicking Omni and the track to get it to move, but even then it jumps around unpredictably.

Melodya, when DAW plays, sounds only at bar 1.

When I purchased Melodya VST, I created a fresh new session in my DAW (Cubase 10.5, Windows 10). I had an harmonic music loop alongside, and generated various melodies learning your software. Now I am inserting it into a song where I need a riff for a break, I am at bar 43 with other tracks of vst instruments and recorded audio. Melodya sounds only if the DAW cursor is at bar 1, but when I put the DAW cursor at bar 43, no sound comes out of it. The internal play button works, but I cannot hear the other tracks (the harmony!). I came back to the original "learning" session, indeed it started at bar 1, so I could not track this at the time.
I guess this is because a time grid above the key edit area starts from 1.1 and I see no way of changing this explicitly within Melodya. Anyway, I would expect Melodya to sound when the DAW play starts, wherever the cursor is. Am I wrong?

A couple of bugs in the phrase editor.. first is, if you try to use the phrase editor as a sequencer, putting it in loop mode and clicking play, if you move a note up or down, the new note position does not play, unless you stop and restart play back.

Secondly, if you have a phrase playing and click apply, the phrase continues to play, even though you applied it to the composition and the edit switched to the composition tab.

I have all the phrase preview options on..

Hi,
Sometimes I got wrong Scale metadata when I view midi files in Fyler exported from Rapid Composer. Progression is I IV I IV and C major scale and I got F major in Fyler in metadata. It is same if I export Midi file from Rapid composer or drag directly to Fyler. I would like to have Scale in metadata that is selected in Rapid composer.

I have tried this with Cubase 12 and RC v4.4.2 VST3 and it worked well.
Will you try the latest RC version? (You did not mention which version you used.)
Also, if there is a project that crashes on closing, will you send me the Cubase project file so that I can reproduce this?

Hi,

Question about Fyler metadata. When I export midi from Rapid composer or drag 1 track from Rapid composer to Fyler in Info metadata in Fyler it says 2 tracks. If I export 2 tracks from rapid composer, it says in Fyler 4 tracks. What kind of 2 tracks is that exported because if I preview some other midi file not from rapid composer, meta data in info window says only 1 track.

Hi, 2 issues.
Setup:
- AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
- 32GB RAM
- Windows 10
- Radeon 580X
- Voicemeeter Sound Driver

Issues:
1) Rando crashes.
I thought it was a demo limitation at first, because I was able to get a new file extension entered, iconed, colored...then the program would just disappear. So I bought the program, happened randomly (typically after I got the new file extension registered [.adg Ableton Rack, btw], and started sorting and experimenting with tags, and making custom columns). After a crash, I have to re-enter my license key, and reset my GM sound soundfont, redo my one extension (glad I didn't get further), reselect my audio driver, etc. Windows troubleshooter told me Windows 8 compatibility (same), then Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (better), but still a random, quick, shocking disappearance of the program.

2) how do I filter and show results inside subfolders?
