I guess you have to develop also a sliding chair to sit on :)
Or maybe make the stuff round.

But why so many keys?

Post

it's just four extra keys than the 88, i liked the bosendorfer 225 .. it's just a drawing - nothing much taken in serious :)

Post

Why only 92 keys then? Go for at least 108 or perhaps even more? And as @jackoo said make it round.

Jokes aside, there are indeed many models of pianos with 90, 92, and more keys. Not many exemplars built, I am sure, but many models. See https://www.stuartandsons.com/108keys.html (scroll down the page) for a very nice summary about that.

PS: hope it's ok to "resurrect" this oldish thread with this additional info. Please be patient with me and let me know privately if it's something I should refrain from in the future

@ddv , thanks you :)

In Max I get a 127 keys keyboard on screen. Because Midi can deal with 127…
Its helpful if you don’t remember how often you hit the octave up/down keys on your 25-keyboard… For Midi 2.0 we should be able to extend it way beyond the hearing range - and make music for bats…

One key should be enough for any EDM producer. Make it 4 and they are set for a lifetime.

if played at the same time, doubt modern EDM producers are capable of playing more than 2 notes at a time. :hihi:

P.S. Ok that's a bit harsh, I am sure someone like Garrix can play all 4 :lol:
