I would be using it in Gig Performer for live use.
Any suggestions?
I can be very simple (just preventing clipping). Low CPU is very important.
Thanks,
Jeff

Loudmax could work for this task.

Just curious -- according to their description, "LoudMax is a Look-Ahead Brickwall Loudness Maximizer Plugin" (my emphasis)
I can see how that works for a DAW that has tracks where you can well, look ahead, but Gig Performer runs in real-time so there is nothing to "look ahead" to. How does that work?

Tokyo Dawn Labs TDR Limiter, normally 50 Euro is on sale right now for 30 Euro (US$33) if you get it directly from their website. I've heard very good things about it --- though have not tried it myself.jeffn1 wrote: Mon Jun 27, 2022 5:41 pm I would be using it in Gig Performer for live use.

ClipOnly2 from Airwindows is also worth considering, or ADClip / NCq7 if you need something with controls.

Any compressor with an infinite ratio. Feedforward is better than feedback, set an attack time as short as possible and a release time of 10-20ms.

In addition to using a compressor as ampetrosillo mentioned, this one is very low cpu and 0 latency (Windows only). Free

The other plugins are low cpu also and worth checking out too, especially Echobox.

Thanks, Eric, I think I'll try that. Simple, free, and low cpu are are good (and I am on Windows).
Do you know if it is VST2 or VST3?

It wouldnt work in a live situation because it will introduce latency in order to look aheaddeskew wrote: Mon Jun 27, 2022 9:42 pm Just curious -- according to their description, "LoudMax is a Look-Ahead Brickwall Loudness Maximizer Plugin" (my emphasis)
