sounds nice and the price is very attractive, but to be honest i, for one, think it should have a distinguished character among other and numerous, very good reverb unit on the market
sound nice and seems very easy to use with simple but significant parameters and a relevant palette of sonic variations as far as I can judge

Trying the demo....Nice but not terribly impressive sounding reverb, utterly horrid GUI, and the demo white noise makes me want to go on a killing spree. It's hard to complain about the price until one considers the free alternatives.
Pass.....

Bro it's literally 10 cheap looking knobs from someone's first synth edit project. I don't need stars and galaxies that waste space on my plugin GUIs and look toy like. It's an audio tool not a video game.
The Cherry Audio GUI looks like something from 2003. I could put up with it if the sound was exceptional but to me it's not in any way.
Compare it to a free reverb with a professional quality GUI:

I am also not a fan of the galaxy background but the knobs are just circles who cares if the look realistic if they function just as well. I am not saying the plugin looks good im just saying it looks very functionnal and easy to navigate and ultimately that is the only thing that matters.Teksonik wrote: Thu Jun 30, 2022 10:01 pmBro it's literally 10 cheap looking knobs from someone's first synth edit project. Honestly, practically all plugin developers make a big, terrible mistake with UI design. Knobs. What's the point of a knob on a computer screen? None. None whatsoever. There are lots of better ideas. Sliders. Circles with (colour coded?) numeric values in them you can change either by entering them on a keyboard or left-clicking and dragging up and down. Whatever. But knobs? Skeuomorphism was a big UI concept twenty years ago, but it still has some value because it made computers more intuitive to use to people used to hardware. In 2022, knobs have no sense at all. The only knob you should use is the one between your legs (if you have one).Teksonik wrote: Thu Jun 30, 2022 10:01 pmBro it's literally 10 cheap looking knobs from someone's first synth edit project. What classic reverb is this modeling? The knobs look somewhat AMS-ish.

No, the only thing that matters is how it sounds. Everything else is secondary. But if I have two plugins to choose from that sound equally good I'm going to pick the one I enjoy looking at and not one that is an eyesore to me.HOTF wrote: Thu Jun 30, 2022 10:53 pm I am also not a fan of the galaxy background but the knobs are just circles who cares if the look realistic if they function just as well. Anyway my review was directed at Cherry Audio in hopes that maybe one day they'll get a professional GUI designer and for the love of god tone down the white noise demo limitation.
If I really liked the sound of this reverb I would buy it despite the GUI but I simply do not.
It wouldn't even replace the freeware reverbs I have installed let alone the paid ones. For example check out DReverb. It's free, sounds good and looks good....to me.

Knobs, sliders, same mouse movement.ampetrosillo wrote: Thu Jun 30, 2022 10:56 pm Skeuomorphism was a big UI concept twenty years ago, but it still has some value because it made computers more intuitive to use to people used to hardware. In 2022, knobs have no sense at all.
I grew up using hardware so hardware style GUIs are comfortable to me and I prefer them to other designs. Nothing wrong with knobs on GUIs in 2022.
Assigning a knob on your midi controller to a slider on a GUI makes little sense to me.

..now if we could only get the Cherry Audio negative posts to be KvR-predictive (first negative post appears before a new product is released)...
That said, Galactic was an insta-buy for me..again..
Thanks, Cherry Audio.

Yes the sound is the most thing of course but I never disputed that. If you don't like the sound that's your opinion I was not challenging that. I don't need another reverb right now so i'm not even going to demo it for the moment. I just tought you were harsh on the design wich dosen't look cool to me but perfectly usable.
