Is it possible to lock the pitch per layer? I noticed some samples I loaded are not suitable to play notes with while others are, if it's possible to lock playing notes on one or more of the layers there is the option to play something in key on a background ambience sound.

Can anyone confirm this bug/problem: set an envelope to modulate the filter cutoff (like a normal filter env.) then do a slow attack and decay (a triangle shape to sweep the filter), lastly, MODULATE THE ENVELOPE SUSTAIN WITH PRESSURE (aftertouch).

This doesn't open the filter up like other synths. The envelope sustain should open the filter when aftertouch is pressed, but it doesn't. What's going on here?

Also, mod wheel doesn't affect the mod envelope sustain either.

Is not working here either, I am not sure what you are trying to reach but isn't it better also to modulate the filter directly on the mod wheel, then when you reach the sustain you can still open the filter with modwheel or pressure. I can also imagine that if you have a short sustain from the start and the sound already reached the release for instance it is not possible anymore to hear the sustain.

Thanks for confirming. Modulating filter is not the same.

I bet this can be fixed. Envelope levels and times have to be modulatable after they have been triggered, including the peak level to be able to have a soft velocity followed by an aftertouch crescendo…
Unfortunately only ancient old digital synths can do that (DX7, CZ101)

I'm enjoying NOVUM, thank you. One thing that I think is missing is the possibility to shorten/ tighten imported samples, making a Loop out of them, using tempo information for example. Otherwise I have to dabble with the start and end-point and this takes a lot of time. I can use an external editor but then I would have a lot of sound files that I don't need...

I have to say that Novum is one of the most musical plugins I've come across in a long time.
