CLAP is a terrible name for a plugin format (and other general complaints about it)

In good ol’ programmers tradition (“yacc”) it should have been
YAPF - Yet Another Plugin Format

EDIT: damn, that already exists as “yet another python formatter”. I should’ve known.
All good acronyms are probably taken anyway…

edit: I should’ve probably said GAPF (GNU is not another Audio Plug-in Format), but I never GNU what the Linux guys meant by that either?

I honestly think the name is a mistake and the more the name gets out there the more all involved will realize it and hear about it. It could be worse (.GENITALWARTS) but not much. Any random choice would be much less trouble in the end.

I predict it will most commonly be referred to in print as “the unfortunately named CLAP” format.
