As you already got SpecOps I recommend to pick up Silo and LO-FI-AF as well.

I was not blown away by Silo but if you can get it in that sub $40 range then it has value. Soundmorph Dust or crusher-X are better but more expensive, and more difficult to useworldfever wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 10:13 pmyes i love these, silo is amazing!

Then there’s the option of using these type of routers/patching plugins and create using what you already have at you disposal.

I use Permut8 quite a bit. Just switch threw the algos until something sparks a new idea or just fits the track
Molekular is a beast, but it's hard not to get lost in all the options and programming can be tedious. The effects are just amazing though. It's sad NI only does libraries nowadays

yeah I feel you, molekular is nice but the UI does prevent me from using it a lot...

Very interesting - Prosoniq used to have a plugin based on neural synthesis called Magenta that did similar (although much more limited) things, but I can't see any mention of Stephan Bernsee in the credits so I presume this isn't based on his work?

With Molekular I would typically just use 2 algo and a bit of the compression module at the end. I don't mess too much with the modulation system beside general mouvement with lfo of enveloppe. That way you benefit of the creative effects without all the complexity hassle. I also record it in another track in general, because that thing is VERY cpu heavy, and I have the last mac pro.worldfever wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 4:43 amBulbizarre wrote: ↑Sat Jul 02, 2022 4:24 am I use Permut8 quite a bit. Ok, to the extent that I can even tell what any of those devices are doing, it seems I don't need them.
But each product page has a "buy" and a "steal" button and I gotta say I appreaciate that.
