Wow, you've written a 23 page sci-fi story to go along with the song! Quite a compelling piece of work. I loved the song and story! I'm a fan of this kind of weirdness and originality.

The vocals, arrangement, and instrumentation are all great. The mix is bassy and heavily compressed but still clear and enjoyable.

Are you familiar with this somewhat similar Twilight Zone episode? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/To_Serve_ ... ight_Zone)

(To nitpick the premise of the story, I think such an advanced species would be capable of growing meat in the laboratory.)

Thank you Frantz! I didn't know you were a fan of
weird science fictions stories. :o

Hahaaa, yes, the Kanamits! I'm happy to see that there was
already a CBS series in 1962 that miraculously addressed
this - and was able to add a trendy final punchline to it.

The "nitpick", that is of course a valid argument, yes. But I
may object: Even today we are able to produce artificial
meat - in all possible flavors. And yet this cultured meat
cannot prevail because people prefer the "real" meat.
Could it be that the aliens think similarly? And therefore
explore solar systems to find the "real" proteins?

Ultimately, such a story could cast a glance at us humans
ourselves ... I'm glad "Without Remorse" triggers such
reflections!

It's not just sci-fi. "Long pig" was apparently quite common in the Fiji Islands in the 1800s. :o

I like the crashing start, it's very definite. The percussion is vey cool. I like the vocals with effects. The pad is nicely done and the guitars are suitable crunchy. Nice melodic lead too.
Good energy and flow.
Well done!

Yes, yes, there is a highly dramatic story behind it.
Thank you!

for some reason I had some trouble getting it to play at first. Reminds of Bowie during the Eno era and a little going back to MWSTW. haha that is what I was thinking too before I read your whole description. They want to eat us all (nutrition) :hihi:

But seriously the song is amazing. I loved it. Really well done. I am a HUGE Bowie fan and like I said this is reminiscent of that to me. It is amazing how much you did on that web page to support the song and talk about it. I loved the whole thing, bravo :tu:

Yes, the decision to "eat meat" has some implications. I find
this very interesting - even if "To Serve Man" and "Soylent
Green" had already taken on the subject.

Nobody had mentioned David Bowie in relation to this topic
until now. So I really need to hear "The Man Who Sold The World"
again.

Thanks, Alex, for your reference to David Bowie - and your
opinion!
