I am not seeing any indication that there is something preventing using Synth1 in Bitwig, what might I be missing?
(My post was an answer to earlier post, sorry for the confusion) - The problem is, that Bitwig uses only VST:s and I am on MacBook Air, where Synth1 VST makes only blank screen.

And that would be the next level of OSC challenge :hihi:

You could try hosting Synth1 outside Bitwig and then just using Hardware FX device instead of the VST. Plogue Bidule supports JACK so might work well.

Closing my eyes I can see a 90s sci-fi tv series chase scene. This is very good.

While I'm working on an entry for this month, finally, I'd like to share my process on how I listen to other entries.
Many peoples entries may not reflect my experience but I like to equate them to films/tv/game music rather than genres.
I know music is an expression of art or a feeling but to me music creates a visual and I would like to share those visions as long as they don't offend the artists original intent.
Listening to some of the previous entries can evoke both waves of nostalgia and new avenues of imagination.
While I may not be able to express my own thoughts fully, I am trying, I'd like to thank each entrant as this can be a wild ride mentally and visually for me.

People often say what comes to them visually while listening in OSC - that's quite normal and won't offend anyone.

My own songs are designed to provoke stories and images in peoples imaginations. So comments like you suggest would be welcome!

Good luck with your entry!

Same here. Some tracks just talk to me. Some do not. If they talk to me they do on different levels. Some invoke pictures/movie sequences. Some in rare cases give me just goose bumps coming from my subconciousness... From time to time I try to do cinematic tracks myself... it dependes where the synth takes me and what "inputs" live is offering for inspiration at that time... I'm a little proud about my track "🌌 Space Cruiser On A New World 🌌"...it was the most elaborate "story telling" I ever did. If you like check it out, it's on my top-5 on sc.

BTW: I did several updates of my submission track. the guys at music cafe subforum were extremely helpfull ironing out some stupid things... it's not cinematic at all this time though: viewtopic.php?p=8465677#p8465677

Yo! Here's a submission.
Submitting on anything other than the last day is a first for me :D I must admit this feels very relaxing!

Nice track. You do know that you can use commercial paid for plugins this round?

Somehow MuLab crashes the second you hit play, even while you can add the synth and play notes live, but transport kills it.
So I tried Cubase and it works just fine. What a fantastic reminder of this trusty old gem of a synth. I just added 4 instances, one for the main accompaniment , one for kick, one hihat and one for such an utterly ethereal lead/pad. And I'm in a kind of trance heaven, hahahaha... what a nice thing this was. Maybe I'll get to make a track this month.

Hi there everyone. Me touching base here. Is this true? May we use commercial plugins this time? Wow... If doctorbob is saying so I instantly believe this. But why??? Synth1 has all kinds of FX on board. Not particularly great but sufficient. Why now and not when we were torturing ourselves while having to use Synister? Sorry all if this is not the first time this question has been asked. And lots of fun and success making tracks with this wonderful dodo bird that still seems to survive. It's been almost 20 years I think since I have first used it.

Oddly enough, this time it also caught me by surprise with the commercial plugins. Maybe it's because Synth1 has had a number of rounds in the OSC already and has earned itself an upgrade for the rules?! :hihi:
It still sounds wonderful, though! I hope I'll find enough time.
