FFS. Spent way too long setting up 4 separate outs and 4 separate ins.

I'm still new to being able to process external FX and decided I need to FU a track by processing separately, via Bim, Bam, Zen Delay, Analog Heat, and Modular FX.

Of course, everything that could go wrong did, including human error.

I know what's next, and that's an additional 8in/8out rack (via adat +18i20), a rack mount patch bay, and a rack mount midi out.

I already plan on getting a dedicated case for Eurorack bits. I just want to change this up at the same time because there are so many things to install/uninstall.

I'd also like to get Genelec monitors like Cryphonik. Seriously, lovely setup!!

Epiphone Wildkat. It's a fun guitar. Inexpensive and has character. This was a gift from my father and currently getting the most play. The LP is easier to play, but because the Wildkat is semi-hollow it's great for practicing without an amp.

Thanks, so is yours!!! I love those little Genelecs. I’ve got them paired with their little 7040a sub and it’s a perfect system for my small room! The clarity and definition across the entire spectrum is amazing, way better than my old Yamaha HS80M/HS10 system, which was way too much for this small space.

Which Genelec's did you pick up again? With a sub I should be able to get away with that same size. I have a medium-sized room. I didn't realize how small the subwoofer was and I have space for that.
I'm just hoping to listen to them in person before buying.

I have the 8020Ds with the 7040A sub. My room is about 12x11x8 ft and it’s actually perfect. I bought mine during the peak of COVID and wasn’t able to hear them before buying, but I did a lot of research beforehand and wasn’t disappointed at all. It’s not the loudest system, but I tend to mix at a relatively low to moderate level anyway.

Not too much of a difference 16x12x9 ft. I listen at a low volume too, and I'm only after a broad, clear spectrum just for me. I was looking at the 8030c, but I'm hoping the 8020Ds will be enough. I can't see why they wouldn't be. I'm actually very excited after looking at the dimensions of the sub. Maybe that'll be my push to start listing my non-used gear?

Awesome studio! I like the Les Paul, it's way nicer than my old beat up studio model. :tu:
How do you like the Keeley Monterey Pedal? It looks pretty interesting.
Genelecs would be cool, dunno that I will ever get to the point of spending the money
on something like that when I had it. I am far too likely to spend it on something else,
like a Les Paul or something.

The Monterey is an interesting pedal full of necessary sweet spots to dial in. My biggest issue with it is that I can’t play like Jimi! I have Dark Side and bought Monterey after being blown away by how versatile Dark Side is. Dark Side is my first pedal and dead easy to use. Monterey requires tweaking to get just right, but it’s still a great sound for all its squeezed in effects.

For me, the Genelecs would have the added benefit of freeing up space over the JBLs… not to mention, I’m guessing an improvement in sound? The size alone will be missus appreciated (not the price though) and I’m hoping they will help with mixing.

And the Les Paul was the missus’ proposal to me. I proposed to her with a classic diamond ring, but she always told her mom that she was going to be the one to propose and because I don’t like rings (especially expensive rings) she got this instead.

I have Genelecs too ... had them 25 years now. Mine are the 1040A's (5") with the tall 9020A sub. Probably the best update I ever made to my studio. They translate very well. Sound good too. I recently picked up some iLoud monitors for reference. They sound good for the size/price and really show up issues with bass frequencies.

That's a bit of what I'm after... I'm hoping these will be it for 25 years. I used to use a pair of Event 6" speakers that I used in a very small space. Once I got here I needed something that didn't drop off as much and that's when I got the JBLs, which actually work well for the space... But, I'm hoping the Genelecs will be the future-proof option. The only downside is looking to sell the JBLs in person.
