Host that allows you to assign LFO's to automation tracks?

Just out of curiosity, is there a host that will let you use LFO's to automate plugin parameters? It seems like most hosts restrict you to linear curves, and I was thinking it would be cool to be able to use LFO's instead (and maybe even assign LFO's to the LFO's
). Just to be clear, I'm not looking for a plugin with LFO's, but rather a host with its own native LFO's.

Well, any pattern-based host should let you create a repeating MIDI CC sequence and have that drive some parameter. (Muzys does...) As you'd need the CC to be locked to the tempo and position in the song, this is pretty much what you'd want, isn't it?

no idea on hosts with that kinda thing, but CCLFO can be used in eXT to modulate other CCLFOs, and they can be retriggered to start at the beginning of a track which is kinda like automation.
but i cannot give you a satisfactory answer i'm afraid :'(

In Sonar, you can use an MFX plugin from MidiFO called MIDI LFO. Basically, it is a MIDI plugin with an LFO that generates MIDI cc events from its LFO. You can assign these events to any assignable controller in an effects plugin (DX or wrapped VST) just like you can assign automation curves to controllers. But now, you have an LFO controlling the parameter instead of an automation curve. It would be nice if Sonar had its own built-in LFO for generating MIDI cc events; but the MidiFO plugin gets the job done, nicely. It (the MidiFO plugin) gives you lots of control over the LFO.

Just forget about SX's automation, it's the lousiest ever.
