Do I need to unwarp every audio file after bouncing them?

Hi guys noobie question here.

What I like to do is to bounce everything in my projects to keep mostly audio files.

I have noticed that audio files are by default 'warped' (as per Ableton preferences of course)
But this warping introduces time stamps which modify the rhythmic of the samples right?
For example a vocal would be altered by all these little dots?

So my question is, to keep the audios the same as before they were bounced, do I need to unwarp them, or change the Warping mode (by default: Beat) and Preserve option (by default: Transients) of each of them?

But then I would lose the BPM sync? (I don't really about this, I don't plan to change the BPM)

Thank you!

The audio files will only be affected by warping if you change the project tempo.
If you load them in an audio editor they will play at their recorded tempo.
No need to unwarp them imho. Live's editing is non-destructive.

Okay so you're saying it's only NON-DESTRUCTIVE if inserting and playing a, say, recorded (sample pack or your own bounced recorded-at-same-temo audio) for example 120 BPM, at 120 BPM.

But if I insert a for example a sample pack vocal of 135 BPM into my 120 BPM project, it will be slightly DESTRUCTIVE (especially if the file is wet with effects and all I suppose, not sure about a 100% dry one, must depend on the warping mode I suppose), you confirm?

In this case yeah I'm totally fine with it, and I should not unwarp indeed.

When I receive the vocal from my friend though, she sung on my track at the same tempo (120 BPM), but I unwarp anyway, because my instrumental track is still at 120 BPM anyway. It's just one file so that's okay to do it it takes 1 sec. I prefer to do it because I dont like to see these unecessary warping dots in the file, I feel like Live could alter the 'purity/integrity' of it. For vocals it's an absolute no, I need it 100% pure.

But yes understood generally speaking, for my other bounced tracks internally, no need to unwarp at constant BPM, gottcha.

Actually, there is some sense in un-warping bounced files. I do it with recorded vocals and guitars at times. Warping is more about looping stuff. Usually best to trust your ears as far as warping goes in Live. Sounds like you've "got it" anyway :tu:
