I want to be able to view 2 eq settings windows simultaneously to compare eq settings for say, a kick and bass but if I have the kick eq settings window open then choose the bass eq settings window the bass eq window replaces the kick window instead of me being able to view both side by side. Any way to have two eq settings windows up at the same time?
Thanks
Thanks

You can't have two Channel Settings windows up at the same time, no. I don't know if you mean the Cubase EQ or a plugin. If the former you need to be in the mixer to see both. If a plugin, once a window is open it can be managed in 'Windows...' activative both if one becomes hidden.

I'm not in front of my DAW but I'm pretty sure you can have multiple channel settings windows open at the same time. Maybe try holding down the alt key while clicking on the track's edit button (e)?

I just tried this and it works. Good tip! (7.5.20)geroyannis wrote:I'm not in front of my DAW but I'm pretty sure you can have multiple channel settings windows open at the same time. Maybe try holding down the alt key while clicking on the track's edit button (e)?

Oh hmmm, I happily stand corrected. That works in Cubase 5.5.3 as well. IE: the second channel settings is still hidden but in 'Windows...' it is there and I can activate it, where before this trick it just disappeared.

Just in case you don't know, you can have multiple editor windows open as well. Just disable "link channels" in the preferences.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

Seems like this is one of Steinberg's many "GUI improvements". It used to work.

What do you mean by improvement? It is honestly stupid to change the default behavior of the software like that. Anyone knows how is it possible to have multiple mixer channels now?

The double quotes around "gui improvements" indicate sarcasm.sam80 wrote: Tue Jul 12, 2022 5:04 pm What do you mean by improvement? It is honestly stupid to change the default behavior of the software like that. Anyone knows how is it possible to have multiple mixer channels now?
