Maybe that explained why the update option has no effect in the GUI of the plugin.
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Which version are you using? For 1.5 (which is only available to Pro licence and maybe subs) Matt rewrote the GUI entirely so hopefully when it releases to everyone it will solve some of the issues. If you are on 1.5+ and still having issues maybe raise it over on the discord or forum.

1.8 version, with gui on 3 note chords - 43% cpu load, when i close the gui and play the same chords - 18% load... thats a load of cpu load for a gui , more than sound engine itself

Are there GUI/render options, like hardware accelerated? I think the GUI is using DirectX now - or has that option - so might need updated drivers, or even just turning on hardware acceleration option (if there is one).
Sorry, just speculating - I'm still running the older version, before the GUI engine updates...

Are Plus owners entitled access to latest versions?
I want to subscribe, but unfortunately, due to recent bank regulations in my country subscriptions or part payments are not allowed using credit cards.

i bought the plus, no access to latest version. indeed took a sub, also for 'support' for the developing, then you get access. but that last one you already knew.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Sun Jul 10, 2022 4:14 pm Are Plus owners entitled access to latest versions?

shall check out the CPU load of the GUI, it seems, that more plugins suffer from it now, some that i have, the latest versions. could be windows... or could be, well, coincidence.
but it is common problem, that in some case the CPU load will go up, in my case not drastically, but one core is taken for only the GUI, i have enough cores, but still, in some projects this will be a problem (well closing the GUI, works of course...).

I'm guessing you meant the 1.0.8 version, which is the latest public release.
The Early Access release is 1.5.1.

I don't think so... I have Pro version and it has access.

Okay, thanks for confirming. Appreciate the other information, it would be interesting to try out the latest version from all aspects.WasteLand wrote: Sun Jul 10, 2022 6:51 pmi bought the plus, no access to latest version. indeed took a sub, also for 'support' for the developing, then you get access. but that last one you already knew.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Sun Jul 10, 2022 4:14 pm Are Plus owners entitled access to latest versions?

Thank you. I wish I could subscribe, can't justify buying the Pro version at the moment.

I am running Vital v1.5.1, and I notice that my CPU runs about 20% higher when the animated GUI is showing. But when I have the preset browser open to audition presets it blocks the synth GUI, and my CPU stays level, I don't see a big jump. Probably about the same relative increase as what you are seeing with 1.0.8.bwwd wrote: Sun Jul 10, 2022 2:07 pm Theres something off with the GUI of this synth , when i have it onsccreen and play its 40% cpu hit, when i close the gui, its 18% cpu hit.. thats pretty bad. I'm not really all that surprised by this, as any next-gen synth GUI is going to need some heavy CPU crunching to make all that eye candy work, and there's only so much software optimization that a dev can do. As this is only an Early Release, there's still probably more improvements to come.
But at some point, in order to run next-gen software well, next-gen hardware will be advised. That's the way it has always been with computers...
