Yep. I really like my KK S61 MK2 and use it all the time but not being able to use buttons is a poor decision. It was one of the first suggestions I provided. I end up using MIDI mode. If for some reason there is some limitation using buttons in KK mode (they already open effects), I suggested tapping the knobs as an on/off switch, as I think they are touch sensitive. Or even making only four buttons available per page or some other limitation. And the terrible placement of the touch strip. I have what I expected to be a nice feature turned completely off due to the constant mis-taps as I'm using pitch/mod.
But the integration with Ableton Live and Mixer Mode is why I now use this keyboard all the time for live use.

One individual item costs about as much as if I bought all of them. I just paid right around $150 to update my Komplete Ultimate CE and got so much for that amount it was insane.andypryce wrote: Sat Jul 09, 2022 4:22 pm I stopped at 12
Unless there are updates for Battery, FM8 (Vst3, apple silicon, GUI resize, and overall refinements) Not thinking to update. I just buy individual items that I like during the sales.

Yeh, it’s cheaper to buy it all usually and then just install what you use…installing to much just created clutter and makes things hard to find, especially as Kontakt has archaic instrument manager.
I just switched to a new PC and have been reinstalling stuff, I decided to only install what I am likely to use, I think I installed less than a third of the Kontakt instruments…none of the drums, basses, keyboards, guitars etc…it’s all just clutter and I have never used it. It’s easy now to just download what you need if you need it, so nothing is lost.

X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Do you think Kontakt 7 will come out with Komplete 14? It feels like it takes some time to load the libraries and is close to crashing almost every time I use Kontakt (larger libraries definitely take a toll)SLiC wrote: Thu Jul 14, 2022 7:10 am Yeh, it’s cheaper to buy it all usually and then just install what you use…installing to much just created clutter and makes things hard to find, especially as Kontakt has archaic instrument manager.

I would be surprised, it was only a few years ago they released 6 as chargeable update which was a minor bump at best... GR6 was the same although it at least had a face lift, very little new was added (despite the promise that it would follow after release). I suspect NI have a serious lack of developers but no shortage of marketing people...trying to remarket seriously ugly and outdated software is a hard task!MXJIA wrote: Thu Jul 14, 2022 1:32 pmDo you think Kontakt 7 will come out with Komplete 14? I don't think they can release v14 without Kontakt 7. Well, they shouldn't.

Kontakt 6 as it stands is the only fully VST3 and Apple Silicon native application NI have. It's probably going to be a while before 7. Reaktor, Traktor, Maschine, Massive X, Battery and all their FX are probably getting updated before Kontakt 7 comes out.

Actually Kontakt 7 is in beta, so I understand. IMO it's likely to either be in K14, or most likely promised to be in it (this is what happened to Kontakt 6, IIRC it appeared for real a few months later).machinesworking wrote: Thu Jul 14, 2022 4:50 pmIt's probably going to be a while before 7. What will be in it is another matter. K6 had little, mostly under the hood scripting and FX. The biggest changes most users noticed was that was when the larger format GUIs came in (again, IIRC).

wasn't massive x added to complete before release too? or am i misremembering? (which is very possible)noiseboyuk wrote: Thu Jul 14, 2022 5:01 pmActually Kontakt 7 is in beta, so I understand. You are not misremembering! That was a couple of months late I think.vurt wrote: Thu Jul 14, 2022 5:35 pm wasn't massive x added to complete before release too? or am i misremembering? (which is very possible)
That was the year of the self-inflicted leak. Someone found a list of all their new releases somewhere or other in NI materials, months early. That was a fun year.

It was not only very late, it was quite obviously not finished (some will argue still isn't!)noiseboyuk wrote: Thu Jul 14, 2022 6:17 pmYou are not misremembering! Actually, quite a few of their effect plugins are. But yeah, they do need to work on the other plugins, especially synths/instruments.soulata wrote: Thu Jul 14, 2022 5:33 pm Also, none of NI's stuff is resizable. They have to correct this.

So, looks like Kontakt 7 is the major/flagship upgrade for Komplete 14. I wonder what else. Battery 5 would be interesting, but I don't care much unless it can beat Groove Agent 5.
