Hi,
For a quite long time, I've been working on a recreation of the most popular synthesizer ever – Minimoog Model D in a MIDI controller form.
It’s called 001:model D and its Kickstarter campaign is starting soon.

The controller offers 44 controls in the layout as close as possible to what can be seen in VST plugins.
Dimensions: 425 mm x 110 mm x 48 mm (16.75″ x 4.3″ x 1.9″).
Eurorack-compatible, MIDI-USB equipped.

More specs: https://delta-midi.com/ (https://delta-midi.com/)

Controller starts at EUR155 (excl. tax).
Worldwide shipping is available.

Sorry for slaming this down a bit but for the price of 300 you can get Behringer model d and use it as a midi controller. :-)

But overal a cool idea :-)

Behringer Model D doesn't transmit midi from its knobs, it's a different beast entirely. Not knocking it, just pointing out a fundamental difference.

That's what I thought when I read the news about this yesterday (not using it as a MIDI controller, just using it as the synth).

I'm aware that there's a certain production cost, but, frankly, if I get something very close to the real deal for just hundred € more, then I don't quite see the point.

I personally don’t want any hardware synths in my studio as I can’t be bothered with faffing around with I/O’s in my DAW. The ability to recall instantly is a big plus when it comes to just working in the box. I’m very curious how well this functions with different versions of the mini. 150 seems ok as well.

Do you live in a country which doesn't charge VAT?

I dont see any mechanism for matching the controller to the existing settings of a preset, so instant recall and this controller arent necessarily bedfellows.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Why do the contour generators (envelopes) have two attack times.

Post

Good question. The second should be deacy, of course, for both envelopes.

Wrong labelling?

Strange oversight though - if it is just wrong labelling then the drawn diagram on their site should not have 2 attacks but that does too - also the same error is evident in the filter envelope

On point! This is now corrected in the current CAD design, but the physical prototype and Illustrator blueprint remain unchanged. I was very curious if anyone will notice it :D
A point for you!

Will this work with Synapse Legend? Perhaps you can add this to the tested list if you can.

This looks very cool :borg: Fair price too! I'm curious how the feel of the encoders compares to the Moog (for playing the filter, in particular).

There is a sync button to sent all current settings to the VST but not the other way.
Another question is the resolution (8 or 14 bit)?
